Birds of prey, also known as raptor birds, are predatory birds that hunt and feed on live prey through speed, stealth, and surprise ambush attacks. They possess several specialized adaptations that aid their roles as predators, including sharp talons for catching and killing prey, hooked beaks for tearing flesh, and exceptional eyesight for spotting prey from afar.

    After watching this I dreamed a snowy owl made it all the way to Texas and was stranded and disoriented in my back yard. I was scrambling to find an animal sanctuary to house it until it could recover 😮!
