20: A tale of two PEBLs and More

Thanks so much everyone for subscribing and watching, and thanks for sharing your adventures with me in chat!
Damon and I got together this last Saturday to have a RACE! and to show the PEBLs to a prospective owner from Salem, OR. He'd just ridden an Elf the week prior so that experience was fresh in his head as he rode the PEBL. He's now got a decision to make and he's not convinced either one is a perfect fit for his needs, but it was great to meet him and his friend from BC and the day was simply glorious!
Blake (with the cute dog from Episode 15) sent us some cool PEBL hats so I presented the hat to Damon when I saw him and talked a little about that. You can get the PEBL hat in the color of your PEBL or of the PEBL you've been dreaming of for just the cost of the hat plus postage which is $25 + actual postage cost and any applicable tax. The logo can be embroidered on any clothing item you wish as well. Just reach out to the place:

Corrine or Ross Peickart by phone (360) 293-8898
or by email: tshirtsbydesign@frontier.com
Thanks again to all of you who've subscribed, and I mentioned in the video that I was considering branching out to other e-bike reviews. Just let me know if that'd be interesting to you or if you have other things you'd like my opinion on... as you know I'll tell you what I think.

A very interesting little machine, would consider buying one myself, with comparing it with some of it"s other both in this side of the pond and the other of the pond and as a European who is more used to seeing, enclosed cycles and velomobiles, from what I have seen of it, I would give it a 5 star rating, from what I have seen if other velomobiles and recumbent HPVs, most appear to be low to the ground and designed for riders who quite athletic in statue and I was impressed that like the ELF you are more or less sitting at car height, but apart from the Pebl and ELF, I am also looking at the Armidilo and Pod Bike which are 2 European quad designs which unfortunately would not be available to the North American markets due to road traffic laws governing bicycle laws,

Thanks for the videos, just heard from Better Bike, I should be getting mine in about 3 wks. It’s going to be interesting here in Minnesota how it will handle the cold. I bought an e-Pakit from Bike Friday which I love, I’ve taken it to Florida and New Hampshire, now I’ll be able to fit it in the back of my Pebble, if I go on any long trips I can use it for local commutes.

I think peble should have gears so u can get way more out of it id try to ad a 5 gear derailer and sprockets that way if you got some hills and ups down streaights you could change gearing

Keep sending videos. I am learning more about the Pebl from you than trying to look at the website of Better bike.

Very cool. I was planning on doing a cross country bike tour on a regular ebike pulling a trailer with a solar panel...but then I saw the PEBL and was like....hmmm 🤔 That looks interesting! I wonder if anybody has attempted to ride a PEBL cross country? I know it takes 2 days of solid sun 7 plus hrs a day to fully charge the batteries, so you’d have to camp alot or charge outdoors somehow. I was curious how tough they are to pedal without any battery assist as that might happen a lot touring cross country. Anyway, cool channel 👍🏼

Great informational video. I'm becoming more and more interested in a Pebl. I live in Texas but spend summers on the coast of Oregon. I go to Eugene now and then because I have relatives there. Would it be possible to set up a meeting with you this summer so I could check out your Pebl? Thanks, Linda.

God I want one of these SOOOOO BAD!!! 10k is too much though. that is about 4/9ths of what I make in a year. I understand why they are expensive but that does not change the fact these are inaccessible to a lot of poor people who can't afford a car let alone one of these.

If you pull the cable trough it’s own loop ,the cable is twice as long, now it’s hanging in the air and someone can trip

So what do you do when you need to exit and there's no readily available post to hitch to? Cars parked by the cart corrals and a bike rack isn't available or accessible? I was thinking about one of those 100db disc brake locks and a chain around the rear hitch/wheel just to make things more difficult. Have you heard of a better way?
