Here’s a bit of info that was a surprise to me when I got my 2024 Badlands. The new Broncos have a stitched dash and center console arm rest. It adds so much to the cosmetic quality. I had a 2023 Badlands that insurance totaled out, and the cosmetic improvement is much appreciated. Also I can confirm the upgraded steering rack and control arms are now included with the Badlands (no Fox shocks).

Cool video guys, thanks for sharing. Our 21 Badlands 2 door so far has been flawless mechanically, only 32000 KM on it but very reliable. Interior wise though, we have the same thoughts as you guys do too. The plastic scratches way too easy and nothing I have tried will take them out. The front driver side seat stitching came out of the upper and lower seat covers, Ford replaced it under warranty for us no questions asked. Other than that..... nothing else to mention, the 2.7 has tons of power for off road, it handles great on the highway and city driving. We all knew that the sound system blew dead goats, and it does..... so just did a few upgrades there and its all good now. I will never drive it off road with the top off again, we got muddier the the truck did. Still all in all, I don't regret the purchase for a minute. Keep it real and Bronco on kids.

I installed the Mabett flaps on the front and left the rear go. Anyway, I never considered the soft top as I’ve had those before and didn’t like the road noise as well as the replacement factor! Mine is holding up very well, love it.👍👍👍👍

When my son and I go swimming we put on sunblock and it gets on the marine grade vinyl in my 2Dr Badlands. I’ve managed to get the sunblock off after being dried on for a few weeks with a baby wipe that I normally keep in my Bronco. It comes off with some scrubbing so it didn’t stain it thankfully.

Interesting about the vinal seats. I really wanted them but wound up with cloth. Honestly now I'm glad. Kids grown up enough, soft, and sweat dry's up.

Nice recap. Soft top owners need to realize exactly what you said. They will need to be replaced. Living in AZ, my wife has had many soft tops, and we usually get about 3 years. That's being garaged. The sun, heat, constant use, water all play into it. I've had leather seats for years in many vehicles with no stains, only showing wear after awhile. The MGV seats seem to be hotter than leather also. Hopefully they will make some changes on materials going forward.

this came across my feed today and I felt like I needed to weigh in. My '72 Scout II has a Softopper on it that has been on it since 1987 and it doesn't look as bad as yours. Florida heat/sun and rain and outside about 60% of the time. Something seriously wrong with that top design quality. The full-size new broncos totally stole the Scout II design, but I'm no hater since IH stopped making them in 1980. Great review. not much to say about the plastic since all cars have that today but maybe they could do a larger texture on kick panels, etc...like a fake diamond plate or something. Also, another note Ford should take from Jeep. I had a Wrangler that had Gore-tex seats which would be a nice option for those who do true ORV stuff and have a soft top off alot. They didn't sun fade and were great for stains, etc...rain, mud, ocean water, sunscreen, etc.. almost everything just wiped off clean with those.

Regarding soft top wearing out. I had a Ford Mustang GT convertible that I daily drove here in Southern California. It was parked outside everyday and night here at the beach and after 10 years the top was still in excellent condition. It exhibited some color change as it was a camel color top so it got darker as it aged. It did come with a glass rear window that had an electric defroster so the window was not plastic. Given my experience Ford does know how to design and make a soft top that will last a really long time without deteriorating. IMHO Ford just chose not to make a good soft top for the Bronco. I’ll bet is was a money saving issue to allow them a higher profit per vehicle.

Ofcoarse there will be more rock chips on the side when you run wider wheel/tires or spacers and remove the mudflaps. That’s not the Ford Bronco’s fault
