Hold up I'm not understanding the first method why would he go to Google drive and then reset the phone and at the bottom of his screen even said download all information into an external SD or USB drive after resetting the phone to factory settings will all your messages be back? Because I've resent plenty of phones in my life and have never had old deleted messages I needed to be back resetting the phone to factory settings is always deleted everything

I accidentally saved an image and or msg sent to me that I was trying to delete, I hit the down arrow that was under the photo at bottom of screen that has a horizontal bracket under it, trying to delete the photo and or msg. The android reply after hitting that arrow was; 'Photo saved in your msg stored media' How do I open this 'stored media' area, so I can delete the image and or msg?

Hi Aasiya, if the root process failed, maybe you can use the recommend root method to root first, and then use DroidKit to recover your lost data:)

seems to to recover same day deleted messages. Also must you root the phone?

You can choose Quick Recovery mode first. If the mode cannot find your deleted messages, you can choose Deep Recovery mode, but you need to root your phone if you choose the mode.

Hi Raymond Gomez. DroidKit has 2 modes, if you choose Quick Recovery mode, it won't root your phone. Deep Recovery mode will make a more comprehensive and in-depth search on your phone, but it need to root your phone.

I'm trying to recover without backup. I enabled USB debugging, I selected my phone manufacturer and it continues to ask me if "Yes, it's done". I have tried many many times and it continues with the same messages. After many failed attemps I have restarted my phone and computer. I have unplugged my phone and plugged back in. USB debugging and developer options are still active. I paid for a 3 months subscription. But I can not proceed.

DroidKit provides 2 modes to recover deleted data, if you select Deep Recovery mode, you need to root your phone first.

Hi Amrita Chakraborti. Both Quick Recovery mode and Deep Recovery mode support recovering lost messages. In Deep Recovery mode, please follow the guide to root your phone first, and then, DroidKit will scan the lost messages on your phone. If you failed to root your phone in Deep Recovery mode, it cannot find your lost data.
