2. Systematic reviews and meta analysis

Deciding when we can trust the findings of systematic reviews (and meta-analyses)?
This is module two of seven critical appraisal training videos. In this second video, we introduce the fundamentals of systematic reviews and the ways in which we can apply the critical appraisal concepts of validity, trustworthiness of results, and value and relevance using the CASP checklist.

Hi, It depends on the nature of the topic and the skill set of the individuals. A good place to start if you are thinking about doing a systematic review is the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions - training.cochrane.org/handbook

The link to the quiz that is below the video is no longer working - is there any way to get access to these test questions? I had planned to use them in my college Healthcare Research class as a quick review of the topic! Also I'd like the one on RCTs if possible.

I think this lecture miss a lot of important things to mention. For example, to answer question 5, we can use I2 to evaluate the heterogenicity of different studies.
