I think they need to standardized prerequisites for trials, stratified by nutritional status. Is this medicine useful for people who have an i sufficient diet? Is it useful for people whose blood test shows they don't have any deficiencies?
The quizzes no longer work, it says you need to reactivate them

Great piece
This does not help everyone.
Is it possible to help suggest groups one can join or collaborate with to conduct a systematic review.
Suggest perhaps you contact Cochrane www.cochrane.org/join-cochrane
Is quality assesment the same than risk of bias???
Sorry I have some questions
Sorry - we can't provide ongoing support as we have no resources to do this. You might find the following article helpful - Furuya-Kanamori L, Xu C, Hasan SS, Doi SA. Quality versus Risk-of-Bias assessment in clinical research. J Clin Epidemiol. 2021 Jan;129:172-175. doi: 10.1016/j.jclinepi.2020.09.044. PMID: 33422267. You will see that, although these terms are often use interchangeably, they are not really the same.
Very helpful.... taking the course now
Glad helpful. Good luck.
Imean I’m having the worst days in my life now . Everyday is Goes like hell . Don’t know what gonna happen to me and my family
For structured literature review, can I do cross sectional study? If yes, then which quality assessment tool should I use? As the video says there are no specific one.
We can't advise on the most suitable approach to answer your question. Other resources that might help you make decisions include JBI (jbi.global/ebp#jbi-manuals) and the Equator Network (www.equator-network.org).
oh my you guys have made my exams and life easier today. thanks for the post
Very glad you found it helpful!
The link to the quiz that is below the video is no longer working - is there any way to get access to these test questions? I had planned to use them in my college Healthcare Research class as a quick review of the topic! Also I'd like the one on RCTs if possible.
Thanks for letting us know. We're looking into it.
Thank you very much 😊😊
Hope it was helpful!
Very helpful thx
Glad it was helpful!
I was lost, now I'm found thanks to you and this series.
I watched this video and found no problem with "whispering" or "mumbling" from the presenter. Very informative and has given me some new angles on how to look at my assignment. Thanks.
Thank you. Glad it was helpful.

Amazing content, 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Glad you found it helpful!
Really insightful
Really useful and enjoyed the quiz.
do you have a cross-sectional study checklist?

Very helpful, thank you
I've a question! Can you please tell how we can deal with missing SD for meta analysis of continues data? If we don't have any other clue to get it for example p value, t value or standard error?
An excellent explanation of this can be found in the Cochrane Handbook training.cochrane.org/handbook/current/chapter-06#section-6-5-2-7. Hope helpful.
@@CochraneMentalHealth have just gone through it. Did not get how to actually apply this in REVMAN. can you please explain it a bit for a beginner for better understanding? that would be of your great favour!
@@MuhammadImran-qp5uo I'm afraid we no longer have the capacity to provide that level of support. The statistician in your team should be able to help you with this. I'd also suggest if needed that you visit the Cochrane RevMan support pages documentation.cochrane.org/revman-kb/revman-web-knowledge-base-55377928.html and/or contact Cochrane direct as appropriate (assuming you're undertaking a Cochrane review).
What happens if the PDFs are not available? Are these software Rayyan / Covidence able to pull the PDFs from the paywalled publishers?
Please contact the Rayyan and Covidence providers for current information about this.
this is so good to know! thank you. may I ask what reference book you are using?
it was worth all the watch from lesson 1 to 7.but much to take in at once
Hope they were helpful.
Thank you😊
Glad it was helpful!

Really glad you found them helpful!
really useful video, thanks
Glad it was helpful!
i am taking this course in 2022 and I enjoy it so much, this is one of the most important videos, I have found ,since the day I have embarked my journey in scientific writing. i wish I could get the details of this webinar in google drive or email.
Every second of discussion is Very very important for us..
Who i can speak with in Belgium?
Arghhh.... maybe just make the transcript publicly available? It's literally aggravating to listen to this speaker whispering. :/
Thanks 🙏🙏
Glad it was helpful!
I was satisfied with difference in features of covidence and Rayyan..also the understanding how to develop data extraction form. The explanations are also clear.
This presenter is not good at this she is not audible she isn't clear
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately we don't have the resources to re-record these videos, but we hope the slides were helpful.
these videos are very helpful. Thanks to everyone that made this possible
Really glad they are helpful. Feedback much appreciated.
This is a treasure, thanks a lot for making this highly informative video, appreciate your time and efforts
Really glad you found it helpful. We always appreciate the feedback.
Really beautifully explained and very helpful - did I detect a Welsh twang there ;)
the content is great but the speaker words are muffled, unclear, and sounded so sleepy. ughh
thank you for this video, really informative and logical. Questions is a randomised crossover trial a form of a RCT? really hard to find a definitive answer in literature
Hi Kristabel. Yes, a randomised cross-over trial is a form of RCT. The first phase of a cross-over trial is similar to a parallel RCT; participants in two (or more) groups are randomised to receive an intervention or control. After a period of time, in the second phase of the cross-over trial, groups swap interventions and receive the other intervention or control.
Can I please know the difference between index test and reference standards?
moreover, you should mentionwhich part of article, where the answer to the question is most likely to exist.
Thanks for all your helpful comments these will help inform future recordings.
I think this lecture miss a lot of important things to mention. For example, to answer question 5, we can use I2 to evaluate the heterogenicity of different studies.
Thanks for all your helpful comments these will help inform future recordings.
can you provide the powerpoint in this lecture?
Sorry we can't provide the powerpoint.
Thanks for this!! Just one question what if its an open labeled RCT?
In an open label trial, the participants and the researchers know to which study arm participants are allocated. This relates to sections of the video on detection bias and blinding, and item 4 of the CASP checklist.
:)
