2-Stroke! APRILIA RS 125 '93 Extrema POV Ride

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This bike was completely stripped and rebuilt around 600km ago.
While the owner rebuilt the chassis, I rebuilt the Rotax 123 engine and installed every functional piece like the cooling system, power valve, electrics, carburetor and more
In the meanwhile the owner ran in the engine and has painted the fairings. Absolutely gorgeous bike!
Now I jetted the bike to run nice with the Dell'Orto VHSB 34 Carburetor.

Such great bikes! But always something to do. Next upgrade would be a RS250. Would be interested in how they compare

Se continui a portare la moto in quel modo rischi prima o poi di farti male, fai un uso inpropio del frizione e lo fai in curva induci la moto ad andare dritta anziché vincere l'inerzia accelerando.

Couldn't watch the whole thing. He is making me nervous holding the clutch in coming up on corners and crossroads. Way to disconnected from the bike for me to comfortably watch. Stay safe my freind

This is a two stroke. It only really gets lubricated on open throttle. If there is high RPM engine brake with a closed throttle slide no oil gets into the engine and on longer decents it can seize. On a four stroke I would just downshift and keep it in gear

@@thetablecreek Holding up the clutch isn't gonna help you solve that. Two strokes are made that way, and it's supposed to run that way. Holding up the clutch won't help you at all.

@@afeed581 It definitely helps. If you don't pull in the clutch when not giving throttle on a 2 stroke the engine will blow up faster cause it doesn't get any lubrication. When you give throttle the engine gets gas and oil. When you don't give throttle the engine doesn't get gas which means it doesn't get oil cause the oil is mixed up with the gas in the tank.

@@afeed581 2-strokes of all makes blowing top ends on long closed throttle downhills is a well know risk. This is one of the ways to mitigate that risk. If this bike was part of a race program getting new pistons regularly you can get away with more but this looks to be a customer bike

@@flyingkaratechop I'd worry more about the disconnect from the road that will cause a serious wreck rather than having to rebuild a simple 2 stroke
