I really like how you showed the hazy hood after compounding not like most people go straight to final polishing.

Should you need to apply some sort of sealant after the ceramic coating or do they essentially do the same thing?

Its my business partner’s shop, we’re renovating mine next door, its about half the size, just perfect size for a one car wash bay. I’ll probably be shooting some videos out of it in the next few months or so, its needs a lot of work, demolition, remodeling, all kinds of stuff.

What speed do you cut with and what speed do you polish at?

Generally around medium speed. Depending on what the situation is sometimes I’ll turn up on full speed a bit, but medium speed with the right pad and compound will give you good results

couldn't you wash the pads instead of using so many? i would like to get practice but don't know where to start. like how many pads for a 1 step i have a bmw 320

In theory yes, but the problem that arises is washing them or using them too long compromises the integrity of the pad, basically losing the stiffness and the consistency of the effectiveness goes down. When I wash my pad or soak them they become over saturated with moisture, it takes time for them to dry and be ready for use again, even when blowing out with an air compressor. If you want to produce a consistent result all the way around, it would be a good amount to get a minimum of 6 pads for a 1 step for a car your size.

are you taking a training class in this video? No hate jw. I definitely notice the difference in how you’ve polished this one vs the Nissan. Only other thing is priming the pads like that can clog them. And i dont know abiut this video but i noticed your last one you would spray a ton of polishing conditioner and I would recommend only one spray.

No training class, just doing my best to improve my skills, its been a long journey since the nissan. Yes Ive improved a bit since that video to this video and now present day Id say I’ve become more advanced as well. And yes I’d say your correct I wouldn’t prime the pads. You can do with out and probably less risk off clogging so quick.

Wayyy to much compound my brother, use less compound, prime the pad as you go, dont prime before application

I think applying this amount of compound would apply to a microfibre pad but not necessary with a foam pad. 4-5 pea size dots should sufficient enough 👌🏽

Not sure where your saw you had to prime the pads. But you just clogged up your pad before even starting the job. You could of just misted some quick detail spray and put 3 pea size dots of compound.

On top of that you need different pads.! How do you know what pad to use when you need to do test spots. Unless you already did and didn't show it.?!

Too much product on your pad bro. You don't need that much to get the job done. Other than that great job! 👊
