How long did the setup last?

Really got me ready to buy 2 of these and put them in a 1st gen Durango defiantly the way it’s moving air in that Tahoe I’m sure it will move more in a Durango

I’m running 2 D1ohm zvx 15s in a 9 cube box on 2 Skar sk2500 amps strapped at 1ohm(I have stellar electrical so they take the .5 ohm a piece like a champ) in a 2017 Hyundai Sonata. I’ve had to slowly rebuild the inside of the car with birch wood and lot’s of sound deadening. Would love to compare our setups if your ever in the MD/DC area. You’re sounds pretty dope man,keep up the content.

Throw the new smart 5 on em and let them eat lol 155s all day brother. Good stuff man that's what I'm shooting for and your build helped inspire me to push harder getting it done. Running one zvx15d1 currently about to get another.

Awesome !! I just got same 3k and I will be running 2 12s made by Resilient Sounds wired at 0.5 ohms which will result in about 1-1.5 ohm final load after rise.

I somewhat have the same setup,2 12’s zvx’s and upgrading my hifonics 3k amp to a 5k taramps amp

I run 2 zvx-15's on a taramps 8k in an extended cab s-10. I wish I knew what mine did on the meter but judging by yours Im pretty sure it's in the 150's sealed. Nice setup.

How would you compare the 4500 Skar Amp to the Taramps 3k?

Rp 4500, should give you more power both at one ohm u need a alt n more battery if you want to see 4500 stock alt im sure you can only get 1500 if that

What electrical did you have to upgrade and what ohm are you running it at and what ohm is your sub ?

Shit gettin down. But if you got the Taramps md8000.1 you would really slam. I have the skar evl 12's in a 6th order in a ext. Cab truck it did over 150 db. Just sayin try putting the power to them cause you gotta make up for impedance rise . dig the set up though. Nice.

That Skar RP 4500 would still put out more power than that Taramps 3K. Had both amps, you just need really good electrical for that RP 4500. Because it pulls more electrical than a regular 4500

Hey man, just so you know 2/0 welding cable is the same as 1/0 audio wire, and 4/0 welding cable is the same as 2/0 audio wire. The reason this happens is that the audio companies aren't regulated by any set standard, so they can sell a wire that would be 2/0 as "oversized 1/0". Just something to think about since I heard you talk about wire upgrades.

Big 3, alternator, stronger battery, and/or a secondary battery. My next setup will be a higher output alternator and a homemade lithium battery bank on a standalone charging system dedicated to my system

I’m not too familiar with infinity as far as alternator choices etc but definitely google and search on KZread those are your 2 best options I learned a lot from forums online and other KZreadrs.

There’s some factors. If you plan on running .5Ω and/or run your voltage 15-16.9 then the bass hands down. If you plan on only running to 14v and 1Ω then probably smart 3. Between 14-15v is kinda personal preference. Hope this helps.

@@cleofiesjackson1983 it all depends on your electric if you don’t or can’t charge above 16v then get a md model. Bass model is only good if you can stay at mid 16s. MD you can safely run to 12v

Unplug your speaker outputs turn gain all the way down, play a test tone at max volume and turn gain up until the clip light barely twitches. Best way to tune any taramps

It needs more power taramps are very power hungry and require a stout electrical system even this dual alternator lithium setup drops to 13.6 taramps are happy at a steady 14.4 that's hard to do
