Something Rafael Lovato Sr. showed me on this is instead of crossing or triangling the feet. As shown at 3:59, he would step with his left foot on his right ankle. It anchors the right foot firmly to the mat. Then pinch the knees, and fold everything to the outside to sweep. This little detail increased my success rate on the sweep. And for those occasions where the guy shifts his weight to the opposite side to stop the sweep, the left foot is now just a little swim away from a half-butterfly hook (like your last sweep), and you can sweep the other side or go SLX.

Sure, the first one will help you build the foundation, the second one is more advance every sweep end up with a submissions, ( focus how to submit from from lasso, and the last one you will use lasso to transition to another position, like you start lasso but you could get the weep or sub you can transition to another without lose your connection BIG OSS THANK YOU MUCH

Whenever I try the first sweep against another purple belt, I expect them to base out to stop the sweep. I use that reaction to recover an underhook, and THEN I sweep with the underhook. If they don't base out and they get swept, sometimes I get confused for half a second hahaha
