Between NZ, the South American Golden Dorado videos, and the monster Northern Canada trout fishing, it just goes to show that God was a fisherman, to have put such wonderful fish for us to catch, and praise to the golden age of cameras and the people who use them while fishing. If i could only have 1 type of videos on KZread, it would be these type of fishing videos. Awesome stuff!

I come from Pacific Northwest in the US, we have trophy trout but nothing like this, that trout looked like a hump back salmon, except bigger! Why do they get so gigantic in NZ? They do not even really look like rainbow and german brown trout anymore, its like they evolved into some kind of pseudo salmon NZ monsters.

@@alext.7517 Rainbows are part of the Oncorhynchus genus.. Same as all pacific salmon like coho, chinook. Rainbows are more (pacific) salmon and moved groups in 93. Which kind makes sense considering rainbows/steelhead and 5 pacific salmon share the same space. ... . Salmo(browns and atlantic salmon), Oncorhynchus, and salvelinus (charr) are thousands of years separated. The trout name is actually a catch all. Sorry if im nitpicking just think its interesting as i found this out recently
