Wade everyone is entitled to a bad day. I had my own excavating business 15 years ago. Started out one day 3 things went wrong first thing in the morning. I realized it was a sign from God. I was home by 10:00 and sitting in my recliner. My wife came home and asked me why I’m home so early. I simply explained to her 3 things went wrong first thing in the morning. It was a sign from God to stop working. Some days you have to walk away. I know some days you can’t walk away. Had many of them also. You just have to work through it. Just keep going forward. Love the video’s.

Yep...You sure got your hands full with them boys. You can talk/teach all ya want and they will still have to screw up and figure things out for themselves. It will hurt you way worse then that smashed finger, on the days they mess up...But at the end of each of those days. You will love em that much more! Prayers of strength 🙏 Cause you are gonna need em, Tator! Thanks for sharing and be safe!

I'm 45 and I still have an occasional meltdown. It's kinda like a stress relief for me and while I'm blowing up I just want to be left alone but when I'm done I can laugh at myself for acting a fool.😂😂 We all have those days. I'm a carpenter and it's happened to everyone on my crew and when it does we walk away from each other but when it's over the guys will give each other hell about it and laugh at each other. Be safe buddy.

U know some people might see it as immature to let it out. My take on it is this. Have your meltdown, get that stress out. Scream, shout, beat somethin if u have to, then take 5 to get collected. If u continue to work when you’re all hot headed it just becomes a dangerous situation. Usually you slow yourself down from making mistakes anyways. I’d much rather see someone loose it and walk away for a few minutes, come back and do it right than see someone push through and make mistakes because their head isn’t on straight. Everybody has their bad days

What great memories you have created for the son and dad... I remember driving the tractor for the first time on the farm, while dad instructed me and let me drive, while i sat on his lap.... I was so happy to watch your son listen and absorb all your instructions while you were unloading. I can almost see him doing it on his own...There is nothing more pleasing in life, then to watch someone learn and then do it on their own... Wonderful vid...

Jumped up out of bed and ran over to the neighbors house n beat on the door. when she answered the door I jumped inside over her huge dog and grabbed the phone (pre cell phones). Called 911 told them all the info they asked for... I turned to the neighbor and said I have time to get one thing ... she took a good look at me all the way up and down (the elevator look). She said "how about some pants? "

Okay... I don't know how to put this, but watching you're video for the first time and being a father of 2 son's (4 and 9 months) you just..... I'm sorry but my eys are tearing up as I watch the video, I'm 35 and live in South Africa, life here is hard and I work my fingers literally to the bone just to get nowhere and have nothing to show for it... I'm missing the joy of seeing my son's growing up, like my father did with me and I understand now that I'm older but it just brakes my hart, now to see you enjoying time with you're son at work, teaching him you're life skills so that he can become his own man in time, it's inspiring... Thank you for this video and hope you and the family all the best in the world. God bless

Wade .... that is so much like me .... things happen during the day - you are usually rushing or against the clock and you start t get frustrated - things keep piling up on you and you don’t even realize it and then bam!! You smash a finger or get whacked in the face and it’s all over - you are throwing things - smashing stuff - swearing your flipping head off - and when you come down off that rush you start to realize what you did ..... I get pretty hard on myself cause I know better - it’s embarrassing- I’m ashamed of how I behaved but in the end what can you do but brush yourself off and try to be better for next time. Thank you for sharing this - it takes guts to be real in front of so many - and buddy - you are the real deal

Wade I know just how you were feeling on that day. I work for a logging company in Oregon and I have had what we call a riggin fit. What caused my tantrum was it was like 98 degrees outside and we had to pull the skyline out up and down through three different draws to get to are tailhold tree. We got started yarding and about an hour later we pulled the tailhold right out of the ground. Needless to say my hard hat took a pretty good flight then I had to go and retrieve it. All said and done I had my tantrum then it was back to work. Funn times in the riggin

I get it, You are absolutely correct. I don't loose it very often but when I do get out of the way. I said stuff one day my father has not heard since Vietnam. He was trying to dig a hole to hide in and he was not the only witness. There was a LOT of apologizing going on later that day. Some days are tough as a business owner, its best to take a long drive with no traffic and chill.

As a logger myself I understand your frustration, if it’s not the weather, break downs, mill shutdowns, outrageous insurance, no workers or just f’n bad luck it’s something else. Glad you showed it’s not all fun and easy days cause it’s far far from that.

Tater!!!! I thought I was the only one who threw ridiculous temper tantrums like that. I’m laughing so hard right now, half at you and half at myself because I know I look just as silly when I do it. Your the man. Thanks for being real.

good on you for showing the issue and owning up to it. we all have bad days, hiding them w/o addressing the issue does more harm than good.
