this doesn't feel like something from jet set radio. and you know what? that's perfect for me. it's an evolution from the classic Naganuma style. creating it's own style. So while it isn't what you would hear in jet set radio, it has the jet set spirit of being something new and fresh, something funky in whole 'nother level.

id love some instrumental mixes for themore lyric heavy tracks, like flcl style. because while im down with all he has to say, i dont always vibe with the delivery. isnt always breaking or grindin material. mans is however a killer instrumentalist, even tracks that arent for me are objectively sick. and on this album specifically i hear alot of daftpunk and uk jungle/garage influence, both stuff i dig and fuck with heavily. (by tracks not for me, i mean that the drums are sick, but the overall vibe built up isnt my jam, conincidentally, i notice i gwt that alot with guiltygear tracks, like the spiders thread intro is amazing, but builds to a nothing)

2 Mello's music makes me feel like I'm running while I do absolutely nothing.

I love the underground community that jet set radio had created and inspired. Although the series doesn't get commercial praise, ask anyone who has played the games to know how much they love the games. The Pinoy channel video of the Bomb Rush Cyberfunk announcement video is a good example of this. This is a great mix and Hideki Naganuma should be proud if he heard this.

I came across Memories of Tokyo-to a short while ago and have been listening non-stop...this is an excellent successor, a wonderful take on the JSR formula in every way all while having that 2 Mello trademark sound and voice. Loving this!

I came from Bomb rush and holy shit man this is fantastic I literally just been dancing and bopping to this for 15 mins straight. PHENAMENAL soundtrack! hope that game gives more exposure.

This is an absolutely amazing album. You definitely can see your growth as an artist when you compare this to the first album, and that one was amazing in itself. It's like amazing, but squared. Cubed even.

I don't comment often on KZread, I'm kind of a lurker, but I just wanted to voice that, I've listened to your stuff since like high-school. I used to listen to the original jet set album you made awhile back, and I bought all your music legit like, 4 months later. For awhile your music was my go to jams, and they helped me through some rough stuff, I just wanted to let you know that I can see how much love and care you put into this album, and it absolutely smacks because of it. Oh man! How did I miss this release?! I've been listening to Memories of Tokyo-To for a long time now! Right into the playlist, this one goes, as well!

16 has to be my favorite. It sends me on a journey I didn’t even release I was on. Suddenly realized my eyes were closed and was pretty amazed.

This is in my daily rotation when I am working. It's such a great motivator. I get grooving and I can do all my work twice as fast. It also gets better every time I listen to it.

The best part of melody-focused music is I come back to the album over, and over, and over again.

I would listen to this album everytime i got on my bike. There were lots of neighborhoods i didn't know here in my city. I'd take a look around these weird, isolated places. These weird twisting roads, familiar only to the people that lived, or worked there. dirt roads to places i didn't even think people lived around. The type of Place you'd hide a body in, hahaha. So in a way, hearing "break down break own" insta turns my sense of adventure on. Thats what it means to me now, its the adventure song in my subconscious. It makes me think of whats next and makes me crave the wind, the speed. The unknown, u know? If i would've gotten robbed and killed, folk would find the most FASHIONABLE body ever, with a fake ipod playing 'sound effect record no.27' LOL I'm glad i had these ABSOLUTE BANGERS to make me company ;)
