From what I heard it's not exactly an easy job to get. It's something like a wait time of 6 months to take this specialized test and one position can have about 100 testers fighting for the spot. That's what I've heard.

Undermining the voting process should be treated as treason. Period.

It's pretty easy to get on with the postal service. I took the test 23 years ago and it's still the same test as it was back then. The problem is fastfood places pay almost as much as the postal service does and you don't have to be out in all sorts of weather. Freezing cold to blazing hot. Getting soaked in the rain. Starting hourly wage is only 17 something an hour. Plus you have to pay for most of your benefits until you become a regular carrier.

They're not. But one thing the carriers that do this don't grasp is, the USPS has a baseline, all the data. They know what that particular carrier's route volume is and very likely the sources of that volume. As soon as one piece of consistent mail to one customer goes missing, that can be an anomaly, but when that starts happening to the whole route, and the local Postmaster gets a bunch of complaints, then the Inspectors start honing in. Sure, some are caught because of their stupidity in getting filmed or seen actively trying not to do their jobs, but by and large they out themselves simply by disrupting the volume and consistent mailings customers on the back-end are expecting.

I don't care whose votes they were for, this is just plain wrong

The USA justice system is already too primed to hit people with outrageous sentences. I believe as a federal offence this could be a five-year term and little to look forward to on release. I've seen many things through mail, never had any problems. With new post master, who tries to make it harder on mail carriers, not surprised at seeing this. Times a mailman is working 10 hour shifts, to get mail delivered. Not under new guy- who is cutting hrs.

I hesitate to generalize about 320,000.000 people. But for sure, our IMAGE in a global sense has suffered serious harm. Our character is judged by our most visible representative (President) and his constant lies, self-aggrandizement, whining, victim mentality, and third-grade level vocabulary, along with blatant racism. Our Faith, as a nation, has also suffered near utter failure. As a former religious missionary, I spent 18 months of my life studying the scriptures, absorbing and preaching the gospel. I did not grow up religious, but I embraced faith in my twenties. I really loved my studies of the message of Jesus. His messsage, so simple, so focused on loving others, in focusing on others more than self, on caring for one's neighbors... all of those messages, regardless of one's faith, are good messages. I embraced the message of "love one another" very completely. I was fascinated by the message of love. Ultimately I ended my association with that faith because I felt as if the ideals preached by Jesus were forgotten, ignored, side-lined, etc. It has been very difficult to watch a man who has little to no understanding for, and less respect for, the messages within the scriptures ---- and to see self-proclaimed evangelicals and other religious people who are okay with this man as their candidate. His lack of integrity was the irretrievable sin for me, his inability to speak without telling lies --- even stupid lies that are easily fact checked --- told me that he had no love of or adherence to the Scriptures and the messages so prevalent in the New Testament. His admitting that he doesn't ask permission before grabbing women by their genitalia. His locking kids in cages. His lack of empathy during Covid. All of this led me to realize that the people of "faith" who supported DJT were deluded or charlatans. I could go on about character and respect. I won't. I don't delude myself that Biden is some kind of saint. But I believe he values integrity, has compassion, is gentlemanly. His faith is obvious, and his humanity clear. I can only hope that our nation will be able to excise the gangrenous infection of Trump, so that we might focus on healing, unifying, rediscovering that we ARE one nation. Sorry for being lengthy, sometimes it is cathartic for me to share my thoughts and feelings.

@@Holio88 it's fairly easy, but takes a while. Just go to any USPS website and find the jobs or employment bar, follow the instructions, and apply for jobs. Then they will email to take the test. Like I said it takes time, the whole process took 6-7 months for me. Go for it!

You're basically a contractor for the postal service. You're gonna have to pay for your own benefits. The time you put in doesn't count towards retirement, that starts after you make regular. You could be in that position for 3 years. You won't work a 40 hour week. More like 60 to 80 hours a week. It may be a week or two before you get a day off. You'll work at least 6 days a week. You'll have to work holidays too. Oh, I forgot about the stress that management will put on you to go faster until you get into an accident or hurt yourself, then they will blame you for it!

@Gayle Todd I honestly don't think they cared about the election or ballots or any of that. Any ballots for either candidate would have been trashed and Most of the mail in ballots were for Biden anyway. I think they were just lazy and didn't feel like finishing their mail route.

The USPS carrier used to be a job that people without a college education would love to have. Great pay and benefits. Now, it's just a backbreaking job with shitty pay because managers restrict hours for new carriers. You could be working for years before you actually get your own route because the older ones won't ever leave.

True Accountability at ALL levels of government. They should be banned from government positions and their fines and attorneys fees taken from their pensions.

Five years for each count. So multiply by the number of ballots the individual is found responsible for corrupting. If it was even two ballots in his throwaway bag, that could net him 10-years. A high price to pay for careless condescension.

Also 100,000 Democratic votes also. Since there was a push for dens to vote by mail, this should affect democrats more than republicans. These are just sorry, lazy people. They didn’t sort through the mail to find specific ballots, open them, throw away the votes for trump and pass on the opened envelopes to be counted for democrats. It was All mail they were supposed to deliver including checks. They definitely should be put in jail, because many people on fixed incomes get their checks by mail. It seems just as many ballots for democrats were thrown away as were the republican votes. People are acting as if these two selfish men had 100,00,000 REPUBLICAN ONLY ballots they threw in the trash whereas when it’s investigated and any ballots that were actually discarded found, those 20 ballots (some republican some democratic) will not magically make trump the winner. This seems blown out of proportion by extremists spreading the lie that these two numbskulls are solely responsible for trump’s loss... Let’s be realistic here.

I work for the P.O. and I can tell you they would've been better off quitting than doing that. The postal inspectors will catch you, arrest you and throw you in a federal prison. I know someone doing 5 years in the fed for it. He lost his job, home, and car within 1 year all over someone's mail. They shouldve known better.

That happened in my town about junk mail 40 years ago. My favorite mail man used to bring my humptydumpty books. Everyone on his route was complaining don’t bring me junk mail. So he threw away the junk mail. He got in big trouble and fired too.

This is why I stopped mailing anything of importance.

Could have been necessary meds, bills that needed paid, or any number of important things. They will go to prison.

I'm not worried about 1 mail in ballot. I'm concerned about my bday card that was mailed on 10/22 and hadn't received it as if 11/12.

This is what is wrong with the world! All citizens need to report any suspicious things going on and hope that it Matters to someone!

This may not be the majority of the cases of mail delivery but it’s why I just wait in line on Tuesday.
