2 English Playford Tunes on Melodeon (Accordeon)
Музыка
2 nice English Playford tunes from around 1651 played on a Loffet (Key CF) accordeon. First one is Rusty Gulley followed by Isaac's Maggot. The tunes got rushed a bit as it started raining and it got windy as soon as i started playing!... and i don't want my Loffet box to go soggy! DTN

Just been listening to your playing again and you're bloody brilliant!
Excellent Derek!!
Terrific stuff!
just starting to learn about melodeons before i start the journey of buying and learning. a diatonic c/f is what i am now considering for a love of the sound and they seem to suit singing better. beautiful playing.
Just discovered this -even better than the last one - brilliant playing as usual All the best Nigel
Just found your Playford. Going to English Dance sessions, seemed rather 'sprightly'. Made sense when I read your explanation! Brilliant playing
Fabulous! Thanks for taking the time to record this.
Expert playing Super rendition! I am in awe !
In the midst of a 24-hours which has largely sucked, this music--which we'll play After--is helping me regain a small modicum of sanity. Thanks, Derek!
Awesome playing and indeed, a great box! Can't wait to see/hear more of this high quality meledeon performances. Thank you so much for the sharing.
Really lovely, you make the instrument sound wonderful.

How can you possibly get that much music out of an 8-measure tune!! Amazing and wonderful to hear, as usual. Thanks!!
@squalificato Thank you for your kind comments. DEREK
The inside row is fully accidentals that cover more that 2 octaves.
That was great playing , Isacc's Maggot , what a wonderfull piece of noise , Off to learn that as soon as Thanks for posting P S so with the CF do you transpose or does that have a whole row of accidentals that allow you to play most keys
That is one beautiful instrument; that suited those tunes, Your playing and interpretation was music to my ears . Loved the Maggot tune. I shudder to think. How exactly Isaac came by it? ;-]
Derek I thought with quarantine you would be throwing videos out daily!
Don't want a Rusty Loffet as well do you?
