    I have to thank you for the great video and for the clear and precise information. I had been putting off turning on the NAZA mode and testing the fail-safe system but after watching your video I felt confident enough to give it a go. I really enjoy flying with the new features and I tested the fail-safe six times last night, brilliant.

    First let me say thank you for producing this video. I watched a lot of videos about how to get to Naza M mode, You are the only guy that said,( go to the DJI site and download the Assistant software). Also the only guy that said, ( if your toggles are left up then you will stay in the Phantom mode). I haven't installed Naza M mode on my Phantom Vision Plus because I didn't want to lose the Phantom mode. And I always thought , why didn't they leave it so you can toggle in and out of phantom mode. And nobody, I mean nobody else that produced this tutorial video said that that is what happens. So thank you , I have subscribed to your Channel and I'll check out your other videos

    Great video, really clear and helpful. According to the DJI Wiki, the Course Lock can also be locked during flight, by switching the S2 switch 3 to 5 times to record the current nose direction (and new home direction). When you do, the LED flash green rapidly. You can then fly along side a biker record the direction, and switch to CL. You can now maintain the direction while turning the quadcopter to point the camera to the biker. Don't forget you also have a new home location.

    I found a bit more, but have not tested this: if you switch 3-5 times between Off and Course lock you set the new course lock. If you switch 3-5 times between Course lock (middle position) and Home Lock (bottom position), you set a new home lock. I guess I was doing from Off to Home, setting both at the same time.

    Hi Ifti. what did you change? Wasn't IOC enabled by default? I am using the Naza-M V2 on a home build, and don't know how the Phantom is set up, but I can see that your transmitter is aware of the Home Lock and Course Lock modes. Are they not enabled by default on the Phantom?

  • @iftibashir

    @iftibashir

    10 жыл бұрын

    No they are not enabled by default. By default those switches didn't do anything. You need to connect the Phantom to the DJI assistant and press the 'Phantom' button in the top corner, as shown in the video, to set it to NAZA mode - then enable IOC controls.

    Fantastic video, it's a shame DJI doesnt provide such useful & informative videos anymore. For the Phantom 1 they have plenty good videos, but for P2 it's all quite rubbish. This should be the "OFFICIAL" video. Also it's a pitty it doesnt show up immediately on KZread when you search for quality instructional video, I came here after reading your post on DJI Guys . com.. Excellent stuff. I am a beginner with any drone and this has convinced me to start on Naza-M ! :)

    My advice to you is to leave your Phantom the way it came from factory and keep enjoying it to the maximum. If you have no clue of what to do or how to do it, you might not want to mess with the aircraft software. What is the purpose of changing something that is working good to explore the unknown! Most fly aways happens after people start messing with stuff that they don't even understand. Stay away from that. What is the benefit of messing with those settings? My Phantom 2 not vision still bone stock and running the original factory settings, After a year and a half of use, so far I have not even one complaint about its performance.

    I did this and can't get my motors to start! I've recalibrated everything like three times each! Did get it to start once, but not repeatedly... what's wrong? I even went back into Phantom mode with no better success! Before switching to NAZA it started and flew perfectly.

    Thats probably just co-incidence - most enable NAZA mode due to the extra features and functions it provides. For example, after a flight I can simply flick to Home Lock, and by holding the right stick back the craft will come back to you irrespective of the direction its facing. Very useful - especially if the Phantom is a long way away from you and you become dis-orientated. Ive had many flights in NAZA mode and all have been spot on. The main reason for flyways is those who do not wait long enough for good GPS lock, and interference from other radio equipment.
