We hiked the trail off the highway towards the overlook view of the Matanuska Glacier this past July. I was exclaiming that I bet the colors would be awesome to see on this trail in the fall.

39 Likes already and only 3 comments - this has to be proof that this episode is just breath taking :D Like also alfredodejuan says it - still no words :) Your music choices are on point this episode - so great. Makes me smile during this episode, joyfully. Loved the snowstory of that one human being winning against nature, to proof it can be done - great his example was followed since then. I want this spirit to be shared - never think something can't be done. If so, Wotan would have been dead 9 years ago but I gave him the second change he deserved and bought him in very sick state, proofing that it could have been healed. Bye the way, I would have answered your question when to travel to Alaska with the answer summer, but after watching this episode I changed my mind - I would visit Alaska in Autumn :) Also I recognized 25.000 subs already - very well done and totally earned.

Hey dear friend! Soooo happy you enjoyed this episode so much. And yes, the stories are just awesome right?! The story of the first winter plow of Thompson Pass also blew me away and was very inspiring. Can you imagine what that was like?!?! You are right, it is a testament to seeing possibilities where others do not. That is a powerful thing and can affect so many others, like that man with Valdez and you with Wotan. Jose will be very happy to hear that you think the music choices were on point for this episode. He chose all the music for this one, and I actually vehemently disliked one of the songs he chose, but we stuck with all the music he chose. So your feedback will be very vindicating for him! :)

It does feel full circle every time we come back :) We hope you enjoy the camping spots! No, we pay to license music from other artists. All the music for the Alaska season has been selected that way. We use Epidemic Sound, which allows us to find and use music that really tells the story well. For a while there, I (Cora) wanted to write and produce all the music for the channel, but quickly learned that would be impossible with the workload of producing the videos themselves. And it feels nice to highlight the work of other artists and to help them make a living from their music! It's a win-win :)

Yep, that's what most folks do which is of course what you have to do if you don't stay in Alaska for the winter! We've been very fortunate to get to stay in Alaska for two winters now, which allowed us time to road trip to see the fall colors. It was awesome 😊
