I know of 2 large dairy operations near me. One is the Rosendale Dairy (Rosendale WI) which has at least 8,500 head milking and another with 10,000. There are over 200 "mega" dairies now in Wisconsin with 5,000 milking cows each or more.

We have a Claas 820 and shopping to H&S 7 plus for extra capacity silage wagons usually pulled by 4440 and 4430 or once in awhile 42-40 4320 or 4030 all great John Deere tractors a lot better than any red or orange color there is also have something called a quick hitch so you never have to get off to hook up or unhook you back up to hook up and it clicks and then when you unhook you pull it the rope and it'll unhook it's pretty handy dandy

Thanks for this interesting series of videos. I was wondering how the trucks stay the proper distance from the choppers? Almost looks like they follow the tracks in the field. I never saw such an operation but the drivers must literally get tired of going in circles. Very neat to see how the trucks dump their load and then the tractors distribute the Alfalfa. The smell there must be incredible as fresh cut Alfalfa is awesome. It's a good thing they don't need the Alfalfa to dry enough to bale it.

It is natural to go in a circle...just follow along. When using a cart and tractor we set the auto steer. Around us the sprinklers cover 480 acres with the outside round being 6 miles.

Never tried them. Honestly, don’t see them what so ever in my area. I don’t know if there’s a dealer for them. I’d definitely be interested in them, but my thing is I’ve never heard about how they do in hills. All that I ever hear is them doing just as good on flat ground. Which is great and all but 90% of our ground is on hills so we need something that’s gonna work well there

Yeah so do we we 10000 acres harvest in Eastern Washington and north west Idaho and we have rolling hills and the good year titans l.s.w are worth it in my opinion we won't go to back to tracks or duals but that's just me and where I farm but what works for me might not work for you but it's a investment already paid off in my opinion

Most of the circles around here are 1/2 mile long for 480 acres in the circle. There are two nearby dairy complexes that have two barns that milk 40,000 cows each in two single building. I have been told that it takes 1,000 truck entries a day for the largest units. This is a video where the new born calves are taken care of. The Claas choppers are 900 hp and cost $800,000 each. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y2Gjx8upncaoY8o.html That is what the owner tells me! They run 3 choppers in two team.

I understand that each location has 3 milking stations, each location can milk 40,000 cows. That is what the nutritionist told me. The owner of 6 of the Claas coppers tells me the largest dairy owner he chops for has over 100,000 cows close to my main farm.
