You picked one of the worst air fryers on the market that uses a gimmick of light. Please try the Phillips XXL Airfyer. Mine browns chicken and wedges great but is also easy to use. Also they use less energy and in the summertime it does not heat up the house.
Sometimes I wonder how young James reacted to his presents on Christmas Day.
My grandFater bought that many years ago when my grandma had a stroke, he never cooked in his entire life .. and out of nowhere, one day, he had to learn how to cook stuff .. he was able to feed my grandma and himself for 5 years before they passed away .. it might not be a chef's tool but it surely is a great device for many people !
The most impressed James was when he found out it “cleans” itself 😂
I love how Ben's got James doing all the actual prep while he's just standing there talking, looking pretty and all that 😂
James feels about gadgets like parents feel about an arts degree.
James, with maximum disgust: "You're so nice."
Would it be possible to bring back ultimate
“Even I don’t get annoyed by light and I get annoyed by everything,” says James, annoyed at the comment about the light.
Ben desperately trying to be positive and James just dragging the hell out of this thing is just such a good representation of their dynamic lmao
“Even I don’t get annoyed by light and I get annoyed by everything”.
My thoughts reading the title:
My mom bought one of these a few years ago when her oven went out. She named it 'The Alien' without clueing the family in, so when she started referring to the alien in her kitchen, we thought she had lost her marbles! She was quite the character. Much love from Oklahoma!
My husband and I used to have one of those (not the specific brand) when we first moved in together and couldn't afford a proper oven. We called it "the bug" because the top looked like a bug's head to me :P. It kept us fed for several years. We never attempted to deep fry anything since we don't really eat deep fried stuff anyway. But it's definitely convenient and ideal for students.
JAMES:
Hey guys,
When these things first appeared (in this form) they were marketed as 'halogen ovens', the air fryer is a change in marketing to appeal to the healthier eating crowd. My mum has had one of these for about 10 years now and she loves it. She lives on her own and so is usually cooking for one, and this is quicker and easier for her than the oven.
"Oh, look, I found a nice thing to say."
Moment of genuine appreciation that Ben is such an excellent host! He constantly explains and narrates what's going on, is fair and honest but finds a positive spin and is upbeat, and always knows how to fill the time and talk to camera (i.e. us!) Thank you, Ben!
I’ve been rocking an airfryer for years now and I find the best chips are preboiled, tossed in a little oil, herbs spices etc then put in the airfryer. The fluffy bits on the edges get so crispy and the insides are stay light and fluffy. If you can’t be bothered with the extra cooking step, add a light dusting of any kind of flour and that will help them crisp up too.
