the production value they put into the exteriors of these places could probably be spread to the actual rides.

Just going to a halloween store has more scares than one of these rides had.

the halloween store by my house is creepyyyyyy...theres lifesized.bloody.clowns one stuck in those chairs with cuffs. the othere bangin its head....these are 3D and I go there alot when I was 6...my mind was like,"never agian" also, more bloody things like killer children and stuff. also 3D

The last ride made me think of The Simpsons episode where Bart and Lisa went on a haunted carnival ride and everything was broken down and there was a maintenance worker working inside the attraction. That ride looked better than this one.

The exterior paint job and design is very well done and excellent. It screams AAA haunted attraction. But the interior is so lacking in detail and the effects were painfully cheesy.

They're so corny, I love it!

I've been through both of these. Creepshow is about twenty years old and had a much weaker facade, They've added a couple of different gags but essentially the same for the last two decades. The one to avoid is Zombie Apocalypse. You take a right turn in. Go straight a chugging pace two monster masks pop out of the wall . You then continue the short straight line and you take another corner out. You're like "Is that it?" Takes 30 seconds. Pitiful. As much as I love a good dark ride I only go on them on discount days when rides are two bucks. If I paid four dollars for that ride I would have rioted.

I'm pushing 80 now, but remember "way back" when dark rides were truly scary...lots of things jumping out at you (sometimes live people whose only job was to scare the bejesus out of people ), weird wet things hanging from the ceiling that went across your face and head in the dark, gruesome scenes, etc. These two modern day samples were not worth the time spent inside.

Wow! The murals and exterior decor on both of these are ace. I’m jelly and wish I could ride em’. 👌🏽

We have those kinds of rides here in Portugal too and you literally never see anyone on them (I have never gone on one), now I understand why I would ask for my money back, damn

The outside is SO MUCH cooler than the inside...

They are so cheesy that they are awesome !!

The build up for these rides is crazy. They decorated the outside sooo good to make you think the inside is gonna be kick ass. Such a let down, as much effort they put on the outside should have reflected inside as well, it's cheesy alright!

The fact that Carnis put this together is what scares me.

This is better than the haunted house ride and ghost pirate ride at the Puyallup fair. The pirate one had TWO props

As a kid I was terrified of these rides but now watching the video of what was inside makes me laugh...I still wouldn't get on them though.

When the artwork will haunt your dreams but the ride will release a small cough..

One time I went to one on these and the scariest part was the very annoying, loud doors going in and out.

Exterior and the actual ride didn't match. If they did, this ride would be epic.

It's funny how good the facades look while the actual ride is just crap. It would be nice if they put even half the effort inside as they do on the outside.

I haven't watched haunted house videos in years. One, because when I was younger, it would scare me too much.

You should visit Dantes Dungeon on Morey's Piers in Wildwood, NJ

Those were both better than the "Zombie Carnival" they had at the California State Fair this year.

It's actually a lot better than the ones I remember as a kid, deluxe in comparison!

The creep show has a similar layout to Fantasma, which was at the Orange Country Fair in the 90's.

At least I am not alone when it came to avoiding these rides because of the scary looking artworks.

I think it's cool that they make these kinds of rides, though. It might be cool to go on one.

This version of Haunted Mansion is slightly better than most of the others I've seen though, somewhat better/different stunts than the rest.

The first one displayed in the video was at a carnival I went to last year and has had a lot more effects and rigs That changed it for the better

Both are well painted on it's exterior but inside is so fucking shit.

Still 100x better than the crappy one in Parker, CO during their Parker Days Festival.

if I closed my eyes these may actually be scary

The outside of these things are scarier then the inside.

Honestly, I don't think the Creep Show ride is that cheesy. That guy with the sheet over his head that was locked up in that cage was actually pretty terrifying in my opinion.

The versions in the US are obscenely cheesy in comparison to the versions in Europe. They go all out with live actors and everything...they're still kind of cheesy, but they're satisfyingly cheesy with a few good startles.

The only thing that got me on the Creepshow ride was those long plastic strips you pass thru. I couldn't see them in the dark and when they hit my face, I was like, "Ok, yeah that was unexpected".

We got gypped when it came to traveling dark rides. I'd recommend looking at some videos of versions in Europe, because they seem to take them much more seriously. Not only are there more gags and more detailed sets in their rides, most of them also throw in a few live actors to mess around with riders. Definitely a much different experience over there!

So...one's named for a George Romero/Stephen King movie,the other after what is probably the most iconic haunted house in the world...and both have all the subtlety of a supermarket tabloid... Yep...definitely "cheesiest"!
