I found the queen sacrifice move, but not because I properly calculated. It's because I was thinking "what's the most unintuitive-looking move possible?"

or... "what's the coolest-looking move possible?"

I found the queen sacrifice, but that's because I forgot about the bishop🤣🤣

I needed 1 second. But that's because the move was in the thumbnail with a big red arrow 😅

Bro SAME and I was like WTF. I was deep into the calculation literary thinking of every move possible. But somehow didn’t calculate the queen sac alternative line 💀💀💀🤔🤓
I love how enthusiastic Nelson gets over some of the games he's played or some of the puzzles he comes across.
Its even better because in the end black had mate in 1 if ever move was not a check

RIGHT!!?!! I was seeing that thinking, “you gotta keep him in check or it’s over! “. I wouldn’t have have been able to keep my cool.

Great lesson Nelson. Way to keep your cool when your opponent had mate in one.
Usually me: Makes big brain move... *AND HE BLUNDERS MATE IN 1.*

Me: king has nowhere to go, all it needs is to be put in check.[Move queen, stray rook sweeps across the board and oh no!]

if only the opponent stuck to the script...
One of the coolest checkmate I have ever seen

Doo, doo , doo , doo doo
Love it. Opponent threatening mate in one too, so all move had to be checks. I easily would have got drawn to think safety and forked the queen because of it rather than finding this.
Amazing game, I love how these sharp positions can arise from almost nowhere
Thanks for sharing Nelson! We appreciate your passion and your knowledge!
Beautiful game! The "Nelson Immortal." By the way, there's another variation you didn't show at the end there. After 1.Qxa8+, suppose Black plays 1...Ke7. There's still a mate in 4, but it's not totally obvious.

nice variation
Very cool mate Nelson it was fun to see how excited you got. Also it wasn't lost on me that the thumbnail for this video hinted at the two brilliant moves. Well done!
Very cool! Thanks for sharing 😮
Very cool! Your videos are probably the only reason I still find time to play between work and school
Thanks for sharing that game. Awesome moves !
Brilliant 👏 👏 loved it Bro 👍
Coool Keep it up bro
Spectacular. Bravissimo.
That was interesting, glad you posted it.
Love your passion man
Thanks for uploading. Great game
That was incredible, nicely done Nelson
Great game! Congrats!
What a a brilliant moves, best checkmate combinations I have ever witnessed, well done Nelson😊
You should get an additional point in tournament when you deliver checkmate with a pawn.
love that excitement for the game. very cool
Hey Nelson I love your videos watching you from a long time m 1800 rapid and want to improve more I bought soviet chess primer and no idea how to work with it can u make a video how to read a book or any tips thanks for the suggestion
What a cool game, Nelson!!!!
Gotta say that looks like one of the most satisfying games possible...... pen down and off to the pub moment, saying. "My job here is done"🍻cheers Nelson
Hey Nelson, I have a great video idea for you, and it hasn't been one I have seen before, but maybe someone has done it. The idea is "how to improve at chess using bots". The "secret" I found is playing the bots with just the eval bar on. For example, I really had a lot of fun playing the 1300 bot Nelson, who notoriously brings his queen out early. I found playing this way, was really fun, as it was a challenge to find the correct move, to keep the eval bar up. I was surprised at some of the moves that kept the eval bar up, and learned quite a bit while having lots of fun! After playing Nelson for over an hour, I learned how much a bringing the queen out early can be extremely exploitable, and Nelson is actually pretty simple to beat once you can identify some of attacking moves to execute in the early opening to give yourself a decisive advantage. I think many other of your viewers would enjoy trying this out. If it doesn't make a video, hopefully this comment will get some attention for some people to try out this challenge.
Awesome game, thanks for sharing it! God bless!
Hello Vibes! Do you plan a new rapid climb? I loved the first one
lovely!
I think there is another variation from the mate in five position: Rc8+ Rxc8 Qxc8+ Ke7 Qd8+ Kd6 e5+ fxe5 fxe5#
Great game and comment from you. I enjoy the forced checkmate.
You are on my top 3 of chess streamers.
fantastic game
Nice game man i too love to show my good games to someone i usually show it to my sister but she's not really interested in chess 😂
very cool checkmate
Nice one 🎉
I only considered the Qc8+ move, but WOW what a game!
This puzzle is easy make it harder
Nice one
Right up there the Morphy. Immortal!
I love how every chess game can be wildly different from another
It's another legendary wild game.🤩
Nelson i would like to suggest a recap of the round 4 game between Anna Myzychuk and Lei Tingjie because it had a very interesting and instructive endgame lesson of king & rook vs king & 2 pawns which actually black drew because white missed the right conversion technique. If you know the technique it's a clean win but i bet most people would make the same mistake white did.
Found the knight move because I didn’t know the bishop was hanging, not because I saw the fork😅
Great game
I would have went Check with he Castle, but only because I dont like to lose the Queen for less unless the opponent's has or will be also removed.
I actually thought rook to the back rank was gonna be it! I couldn't quite convince myself that was a guaranteed checkmate though.
Hey Nelson, can you post some videos on Chess Adventures? I know you have a lot on your plate to handle, but it would be nice if you posted some videos on your Chess Adventures channel. Also, thank you for this amazing channel! I have learned a lot from it and crossed 1,000 in Blitz! Thank you!
Nice game. I think that in 8:20 you can play Qd8+ Kd6 and mate him with the pawn
I really have missed your streams…
Very nice!
I am so happy. I think I found the mate in 5 - I just went Qc8 instead but the following moves were the same. Hope that works.
Excellent game as always. Also there is a third way to win - After White QxRc8+, Black Ke7, then White Qd8+, Black Kd6 then White Pe5+, Black Pxe5, then White Pxe5#. I think @JohnDoe-ti2np also may have seen it but didn't write the solution.
What if you played wbishop to D5? (After his bishop to c6) Seems like a cool but slower winning move too.
Unusually, I managed to guess both brilliant moves! I was surprised Nd5 was considered brilliant, as it looked pretty natural to me (attacking the queen and threatening a fork).
Don’t worry Nelson, I thought your checkmate was cool ❤
And he sacrificed.......THE BISHOOPPP and THE QUEEN and THE ROOOOOOOOK
I found the rook sacrifice before the queen sacrifice.
play against martin but you can only move 1 piece at a time. so if you move a knight for exaple you have to keep moving that knight until martin takes it
Hell yeah!!!
Pawn checkmate was the best mate endgame! ‼️‼️‼️
What would happen at 5:00 mark pawn to d5 ? 5:04
The first brilliant is almost exactly a tactic I had in one of my games! (Also got a brilliant)
W game❤
Wow this guys good.
I hate opponents who resign M1s. Literally takes longer to move your mouse to the resign button than just making the move; only reason to do it is to spitefully deny your opponent the satisfaction of the checkmating move, cut them off mid sequence
Wait...isn't that the Boden's checkmate at the very end (bishops crisscross)??
I actually guessed both of these correctly, super proud of myself here. I'm like a 1000elo player and haven't played in a year or so. I ALWAYS fail to guess these things lol
One thing...why is Qxa8 marked a great move in 6:31? Isn't a move called a great move if that's only the good move in the position?
Awesome
Cool cm bro. Honestly. My 600 elo mind can't see that stuff.
E pawn is the hero because he's scarifying his bruef life for that the F pawn can finish the villain's King. F pawn deserve a medal too, but he's only doing is job. We must remember E pawn sacrifice the long of our lives.
Two chakmate was cool but sacrificed queen it's better
Nice!
5:01 White Bd5 What would happen there?
Beautiful # Nelson
Great game. Deserves pinning a .pgn file. 😊
