I love the fact that u do these without all that edge control/ gel. This is how im use to people in my country braiding without all that gel. N it looks just as neat and is way less gunk on ur scalp. I also like the fact the her hair doesn't seem blow dried for the style to be done

Lol right! ppl that use gel to braid cant braid. Ever since i was younger every hair braider said its hard to grip the hair if its product in it. And i don't think the braids would hold well if it was not a kinky to the hair during install.

I am also from St. Kitts and I never heard about blow drying someone's hair before until I saw a conversation, among African Americans, about last year on fb. I was like why would you need to blow dry the hair first? I do not know of any braider here who does that.

This is so beautiful it looks like she should be on a magazine cover for black hair styles or on a business card

OMG! Yo I tried doing a braided bob on my sister some time back. After braiding, my ignorant self cut the hair to the length I wanted then tried to burn the ends but the three strands kept unraveling and let's just say my finger tips paid the price trying to stick them back together WHILE holding the flame to them. The end results? Rough, jagged ends. Uneven lengths throughout. Braids bending in their own directions. My sister looked like she was on crack. LMAO. Yo, everything was just a mess. I swore I'll never attempt a braided bob again... HOWEVERRRRRRR (Hallelujah), there's hope now. :'( Thank you Ms. Jalicia

Joy Zammett next time, braid the ends very tight and burn the braid an inch below the person natural hair/ or the length they want it to be. The braid should be firm(stiff) and it will stay the way you bend(shape) it after burning the ends.

Joy Zammett 🤣🤣lmbo. Im so sorry but that was hilarious, sorry your sis couldnt enjoy her hairstyle. But it took me a year to teach myself to braid on others and myself ( i know the struggle is real). But dont give up. Sticking w/ it only makes you better. We, women have to give ourselves more credit than what we do. You can do, u have the technique down just correct your mistake.

I think they use gel to get a slick look without pulling on edges, or at least that's what my friends stylist said.
