    I don`t know much about these matters, but it seems a mighty miracle the Great Schism did not happen then. What differences saved us here that failed at the Great Schism?

    Vigilius upheld true Christian doctrine upon becoming Pope because the Holy Spirit protects the papacy from doctrinal error.
