One of few kind landlords in Ireland. It wasn't that the irish population couldn't grow other crops but potatoes were the only crops they were aloud to keep as everything else was being shipped out of the country to feed British soldiers abroad by famous people like the Trevelyans.

What is the music at 12:08? Can anyone tell me, please?? It sounds like something Arvo Paert might have written.

It's a famous suite from "Masquerade", written by Aram Khachatutian, a Soviet composer of Armenian descent. And yes, you can often hear the tune in foreign adaptations of Russian classical works.

I dun think they had money or energy. Lobsters and oysters are expensive. Only the rich had access to meat and game.. www.deepmapscork.ie/past-to-present/west-cork-fisheries-1800-1850/diet/
