Sir , why do you use 0.9 in reduction factor to get Mn when we use fs=800 it should need to calculate it since its in transition region

Sir paki recompute po yung value ng A's na 2044.01 mm^2 kasi yung lumabas sa calculator ko po ay 2.04399×10^-3 Sir diba pag raise to negative ay magiging 0.0024399?

Convert mo yung Mn2 mo to N-mm
in reality po, gumagamit po ba talaga ng singly reinforced beams knowing na kailangan ng stirrups? Parang imposible po kasing mag lagay ng stirrups kugn walang top bars. or pwede po idesign as doubly kahit na lumabas ay singly lang sya?

This is a good question. Yes, in reality meron talagang Singly Reinforced na design. Pero kahit singly sya, which is supposed to be isang side lang ng beam ang meron reinforcement, required na maglagay ng hangers para kakabitan ng stirrups. Pero kahit may hangers, still “Singly” pa din ang tawag dun, kahit nagmukha na syang doubly. Regarding sa 2nd question mo. If singly ang lumabas, singly dapat ang design, kung doubly ang lumabas, doubly ang design. Hindi ka makakapagdesign ng doubly kung singly ang lumabas sa computation kasi it means the maximum moment can be carried by tension bars aloneZ

@@mangoes7329 Hindi na kasama sa computation ung hangers. Bale 12 mm ang minimum nyan. Para sa akin, if ever maging singly reinforced yung beam mo, tapos let’s say 3 bars na 12 mm ang nasa tension side. Bale 5 lahat na 12 mm ang dapat na reinforcement, yung 3 sa tension at 2 sa compression na need for hangers. In other words, yung hangers can be considered main bars.
