Pelican bass raider is an awesome boat. Definitely recommend. Super stable and can even handle an outboard. I would recommend adding some flooring. I had a simple fatigue mat in mine.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who switches my handle to right handed on a spinning reel. It’s hard to work certain baits with it left handed so whoever came up with the idea to make it universal on a spinning reel was a genius!

How does changing the retrieve side change how much action you can put on it surely it just mean you have to have more dexterity in your non dominant hand?? it's like people that cast with their off hand and then switch hands to retrieve, which I've always chalked up to people learning on the wrong hand retrieve qnd not correcting it, I'm lhr and if I tried to switch to work baits it would be impossible because I have more controll with my dominant hand and I have the added benefit of being able to reel qnd maintain action instead of having to switch hand everytime I need to reel or hookset, I had a friend to used to do it like you and I just found it so dumb and then I let him borrow a left hand reel and now that's all he uses because that's what he should have been using from the start, just weird to me that people make things even more awkward for themselves and then have to switch hands every time they cast and reel

@@HowieFeltersnatch1 to me you're using the rod how it should be used, left hand retrieve is meant to be cast with the right hand so you don't have to switch hands after every cast qnd the opposite for right hand retrieve you cast with the left hand, if you cast with the opposite hand then is meant to be used like the original comment why not just use the right rod with the right retrieve that's what I found so weird, I get why yakpak does it in the video he even says he uses left hand normally

@@chrisread6292 It’s all about what feels comfortable to you. Although it’s unconventional they wouldn’t have made it where you can switch it if it wasn’t a thing. I’ve seen many of anglers fish spinning reels like Trey and I do. To you it may look stupid and maybe you don’t understand it and that’s fine. As far as working certain baits I’m speaking on personal experiences for myself so one day I switched the handle to right handed and it felt more natural that way to me. I told myself that I would switch it back over and train myself to fish the spinning reel the correct way. It’s like Yak said in the video that he trained himself to fish a left handed baitcaster and that’s what he prefers now. It’s all a preference thing really.

Wish we had bass in my country 😔 but a ridiculous amount of pike everywhere 👍
