I'd love your reaction to Casiopea's representative song, Asayake. And if you're interested, I'd like to hear Blue Lagoon by Masayoshi Takanaka, who built the era of fusion together with Casiopea. Hi, you should check out the Katsushika Trio! Casiopea had the four members in that video, but over time they split off, except for the drummer. He eventually left to form the trio in 2022 if im not mistaken. The guitar player, Issei Noro, leads casiopea, and the other three members formed a new band, essentially getting back together as a trio. Interestingly, each member has their own solo albums, and the drummer is even part of a Japanese supergroup called Pyramid! I could go on for hours explaining each band every member created I am super into them music wise not.. neverminded

CASIOPEA is one of those bands where I- in my personal belief- all their live performances are way more magical and better than their studio version stuff. I recommend “Midnight Rendezvous” from their Roppongi Pit Inn Live in 1979. Their drummer at the time was “Takashi Sasaki,” and I much prefer his drum style over Midnight Rendezvous over Akira Jimbo’s (the drummer that came after Sasaki.)
