I am an amputee and my husband and I get looks all the time when parking in the handicapped spot. We are in our mid 40's and look reasonably healthy. So the looks come until the hubby pulls out my wheelchair. I have had people literally yell at us for parking there until they see the hubby with the wheelchair.

Okay, first things first... I love the flower garland along the back wall! It's so festive and colorful and adds a bit of cheer! I also love the small multicolored string lights you have on, I'm on the fence with the rope lights but was wondering if you can dim them a bit. You have made some awesome changes to the home front! Sorry your grandma is still in the hospital... I hope she is able to come back home soon! What a great update!!! Love all the gems you got and the unboxing was fun to watch! 2024 is going to be an awesome year for all of us!

I admit that I do stare at "normal" looking people using disabled parking spots. Sometimes I even glare if they seem to be moving well with just a cane or walker when they get out of the car. But I'm usually too busy looking for a spot clear across the parking lot in the hopes that no one will park next to me so I can get my grandma's wheelchair in and out of my back seat. It's easier to just push her really far across the lot than it is to get the wheelchair in and out with someone parked next to me. In our area it can be tough to find empty disabled spots. Though I really feel bad for Nicholette since she has to have the driver's side clear, I prefer the passenger side but I can manage with either side if I have to.

Wow you guys have a lot planned for 2024. I’m so happy to see that you are up and on the go, I truly prayed that everything would turn out great after your surgery. You get pretty good throwing that wheelchair around in tight spaces, and I don’t think you can get much tighter than being in the front seat of a car. Have you ever thought about a leash for your wheelchair so that it can’t get away from you when your by yourself, it would be a handy thing so it can’t get away from you. I hope you have a fantastic 2024. We are all responsible for our own destiny in life.

Well 2023 sucked I have had multiple surgeries and once again I woke up in May with a abscess on my stomach that is still open. I am facing major abdominal surgery and I have a medical mesh around there!!

I get those looks as well when I pull into a handicap spot too.. when I go back to my car people will try and rush me when I'm getting back in and I tell them to back the f*** from my car. I have a manual folding chair that I can slide behind the driver's seat or use my braun chair topper and put it on top of my car.
