Perfect skate park jumps to grass Everytime I see concrete landings I cringe

Yeah. The kraton 8s isn't made for concrete landings I'm afraid. This skatepark is my local and I use it as my testing grounds. Just got to watch out for dogs 🙁 It gives me a good feel for the rig with regards to air control etc... It's usually a fun place to bash and the grass landings aren't as harsh on the cars. 👍 arrma always kills it in the styling department. I think the k8 looks amazing 👏

That power system is perfect for the Outcast. I was impressed that ARRMA went with this appropriatley size motor in the new v2 RTR EXB instead of the just getting by, min spec motor in the previous RTR. I don't think most people would really need to upgrade that motor in an Outcast. Like you though I do wonder if it is good in the long term for a Kraton, or if eventually people with that system in a Kraton will desire more power.

Hi buddy. Although the 1100kv is a decent size motor the 30/46 gearing is at the max you can fit. Tbh I didn't feel I had enough juice. I'm thinking of going 27/39 to see if it helps. A max 5 combo will add weight so could result in more breakages. I think I need more run time before I can decide. One things for certain its defo a fun large scale ripper!

I had the same problem it’s not the servo it’s the PILLOW BALL RETAINER, takeoff your two front tires you’ll see 2 big plastic screws they tend to tighten up so you can’t turn. M2C racing makes aluminum ones with a plastic insert. Or just wrap piping tape around the screw and put it back in, that’s what I do haven’t had many issues

Hi buddy. I'm using a set of 6200 mah 80c zeee 4s lipos. I get around 15 mins run time. I would recommend lowering the lipo cut off value on the esc as from factory its set quite high.

I have the O8 version its a beast

This is the biggest size pinion I can get in with the 47t spur. I didn't have any temp issues, but it is winter. I was considering going for a 39t spur with may a 25t/ 26t pinion to get more power. I recon I'm getting around 50mph at the moment. I haven't put the GPS on it though.

Did you have the new copperhead 2's on too?

what happened to your rear bearing??

Unfortunately the c clip holding the rear bearing In pinged off which allowed the bearing holding the input gear in place to slip out. This could have ended badly. The loose mesh between the input gear and ring gear could break teeth and ruin diffs. Luckily it must have just happened and my diff was unaffected. 🙂👍

Shame about the servo.. I use a POWER HD WH-80KG servo which has been brilliant!

Out of the box stock will this wheelie easily? Punch setting all it needs?

Yes buddy. Max the punch and it should wheelie. I've added one ear plug in my center diff to get to flip easier but I was able to wheelie before I put the ear plug in as well.

@@inspiredrc I’m more of a high speed, drifting, guy. Which I know the K8 is better for but does the O8 turn sharper, handle better, and wheelie better? I’ve heard the O8 feels like more power and more fun?

@thepatternforms859 it's hard to decide which better hence why I have both. Personally the shorter wheelbase makes the outcast more fun. I can get a double backflip with the outcast where I only get a single backflip with the kraton on the same jump. The outcast wants to wheelie alot which make it difficult to get it to turn as the front wheels are always lifting up. If you like to do speed runs the kraton is better at it being more stable. I prefer my outcast as I like to jump my rc's and its more suited for that. Tbh from what you said the kraton will fit your bill. In the future you can ear plug the center diff to help with stunts and wheelie. If after that you still have the outcast itch it wouldn't take much to convert the kraton to an outcast.....

Out if the box the lvc level is set high on these cars. I'm using a set of zeee 6200mah batts. I get around 10- 12 mins of run time.

Yes but that size battery will be really heavy not to mention most likely to be very expensive. Also not sure if it will fit in the trays. I wouldn't recommend going with such a big batt. I've had good luck with zeee lipos. The biggest I would go is prob a zeee 9000mah 4s pack.

The pizza slicer effect on tires is simply ridiculous for a $1k RC, come on Arrma...Shouldnt have to go buy new tires 1st thing, on a $1k RC, plus RTR Servo should simply be better. . .Like $1k for a RC is no laughing matter, respect peoples hard earned money, and give us a solid setup, and that includes ALL electronics...Or give us our Rollers, so we can, without the added Spectrum tax.

Dude I agree. They should have released this as a roller as well. Alot of people have electronics from their v1 they could use. Why not release a roller and an rtr??? Imo it needs a max5 with an 800kv motor. Servo needs to be alot better. I actually got more run time with the old sr905 servo at 8.4v.... thats crazy arrma.
