Got sidetracked and didn't explain what happened to the RT's suspension..! The heim joint between the ACS Sensor and swingarm, that monitors the ride-height, did not get connected during the setup & pdi of the unit at the selling dealer up north. I know exactly what your talking about, I picked up mine last Thursday. Left right when they closed, got about 2 miles up the road, and a suspension fault came on. Of course the are closed and I'm 60 miles from home.....so I drove it home, called the next day... now I need to tell you I left Thursday, and it a downpour of rain. Now it's Friday and it's raining. So I wait til Saturday and show up. Took them 5 hours to figure out the compressor harnessed not get hooked up. I was not happy 😕. So there are bike sales outlets, and a bonified dealerships that check EVERYTHING, before handing it off to a customer.

Hot Dog my bike made the u tube video! It was so great meeting Kelly and Shawn! I had no reference point on the shock. I didn't know any better. But boy was my 2 hour ride home way smoother! Except for that belt vibration at 80+ mph Thank you so so much Kelly and Shawn and Pro Caliber I am so happy I have you guys now! 🙂🙂🙂

This is why you test ride the bike before giving it back to the customer. I think this is the first test ride I saw that you had an issue. You are pretty good.

IT IS GOOD TO SEE PEOPLE GOING ABOUT A NORMAL DAY.

Watching this on the TV with my bride by my side. She comments on how bumpy the video is on the RT just before you mentioned the stiff suspension. Even she could tell the difference once you did the correction. Tat was the issue with the 2018 RT that we purchased and returned the following day. We ended up with a 2017 RT that she LOVES!

Wish Shawn was my mechanic, last one drilled holes in the frunk, damaged the DESS, couldn't reprogram keys broke the ignition aerial and want me to pay additional fees because they wouldn't take responsibility, BRP couldn't help either as all dealers here are independent, but rest a shored this dealer will never see my new 2019 RT LTD, I will push it to my new dealer rather than let them get their hands on it. I hope your Saturday weather was better than expected. Supposed to be threat of severe weather here, but right now it’s just a thin overcast and nothing on the local radar. Hope it stays that way. I know that lady will make the two hour trip every time for service now! You’ve won another loyal customer! Peace and love.

Thank you for your attention to detail. I have had mirrors rattling and loose. Have been told that is normal on a f3limited, belt alignment trouble and more greasy finger prints than you can count. My wife and I have joked that it would be worth the ride from Maine to you for a service.

Yeah, that was the roughest riding Spyder ever..! Lol Good thing those air bags are as tough as they are... The updated ACS Pump is no doubt very powerful as well! Lol Thanks Gerard!!

My new 17 RT had the check vlv installed backwards from the factory which burned out the air compressor , after many complaints about the ride as well as the headlight aim they finally figured it out.

Yeah, that'll smoke an ACS Pump for sure..! Never seen one come from the factory though... Definitely seen replacement pumps that a tech or customer installed reversed. The pre-2020 RT's have the easiest headlight adjustment ever! Very customer friendly to do... Thanks Troy!! 👊

Shawn quick note, Kelly would think the world plumb gone and ended if she ever came up here in the winter. The -45 to -50 stuff would do her in. You wouldn't be able to pile enough layers on her and still have her able to move at all.

Sometimes in the rush to deliver a bike, somethings get overlooked. Experience will tell you what's wrong. At least it wasn't a major issue.

Not sure how far that lady travelled Shawn, but if I could get to Procaliber for a service, I sure as heck wouldn't have purchased my Spyder from any another Dealer. One thing's for sure you guys will getting her purchase next time for sure, and most probably all the servicing on the RT if she has any sense! Stay safe you two!

Don't ask, just enjoy the weather. I finally got my new Street Glide out on the highway today. I had to wait for the road down the hill from our subdivision dried up enough so it wasn't a slurry of mud and salt. It was 37 degrees on the way out and 42 when I got home. So far I am liking my new bike more than my '15 Road Glide. It feels more nimble and fun. I have about 80 miles on it now so that feeble 50 mph speed restriction is over.

Man I want some of that weather. Here in Kansas its like a box of chocolates 🍫. You never know what your gonna get in a 12 hour period. 👊😎

The same thing happened to my new 2021, it road like a log wagon. I was ready to take it back, my 2017 road a whole of a lot better. I ended up going to Lowes and buying a stainless steel bolt and locking nut and finished what the dealers should have done myself. All is well now.

I noticed the mirrors shaking, I fixed mine real simple. I had a sheet of 3/16' rubber, I cut in to 3/4" wide and 5 " long, I put down pressure on the mirrors and pushed the rubber in the opening alone the top and rear side. Now it's a nice snug fit and no shaking mirrors. All those aftermarket mirror tighteners are not needed.

Well did the brakes on my 2018. Put fully sintered high performance pads on all three..

This is one of my biggest concerns when I get my Spyder next spring/summer. I'm half tempted to make a cross country trip just to come to your dealership and have it looked at. lol. I know "dealerships" in my area couldn't hold a candle to the ones out west.

Nice ride. Couches are full of DNA like mattresses. Damned difficult to get rid of

Ya when I got mine it had the bolt missing from the factory on the sensor arm used a wire tie till I could get it to the dealer.

Be happy it is in the 40 s here in upper New York

My trunk latch inside was only 3/4 turned to full lock position and clunked on big bumps, took me a couple of rides to figure it out. I do notice that I can feel my rear suspension raise and lower slightly when I’m solo and at a stop light.seems to either be self leveling or resetting itself?

You guys seem like to happy couple my marriage of 11 years is about to end.

I was searching KZread and I couldn't find any footage of the new 2020 f3-s special instrument cluster and its changes. Do you know if it has navigation on it?

The 2020 F3-S 'Special Series' has the BRP Connect 7.8" digital display that has GPS via a phone app (same as the 2018~2020 F3-T/L & RT's). Thanks Juan!!

I just brought my 2021 F3-T home last night. I spent half the night checking on it in the garage cause I’m in love with it. After noticing that it was extra mushy, I found my way to the valve under the passenger seat. Wouldn’t you know it- zero PSI. The people at the dealership are a gang of bozos (for many reasons). Can you please tell me what Can Am recommends as a psi? I’m reading 15 40 even 60. Thank-You. Ted

I think the SportGlide is super cool, but I haven't ridden one yet to give you a comparison between the two... I was focused on the stone simple/classic look of Slim, so the SportGlide wasn't even on my radar at the time. Thanks Graham!!

TheSmoaksVlogs o I totally understand the Slim is a super looking motorcycle I like the idea of an SGS but £21000 in the UK where as the Soft tail Sport Glide ticks some of those of the SGS but a lot cheaper £14000 approximately 👍🤔and in a few years might just come within my grasp ?

What did you do to fix the stiff shock? The dealer I got my 2020 RT asked me how my ride was because he rode one home and it about threw him off it. Haven't had the chance to ride mine since and haven't noticed a stiff ride but this is also my 1st Spyder.

The selling dealer didn't connect the Ride Height Sensor heim joint to the swingarm during setup & pdi. The ACS Pump over filled the air bag because it thought the bike was riding way too low... Thanks Randy!!

What ultimately had to be done to fix the problem? I recently purchased a 2020 F3 and the hose running to the airbag was damaged when it was assembled from the factory. The dealership had to order parts and overnight them in order to get the bike up and running but I was curious if the sensor could have caused the issue as well?

This unit simply didn't have the ride height sensor arm connected to the swing-arm by the assembling dealer during setup & PDI, but this wouldn't cause a hose issue. Bummer about the air hose damage on yours..! Though really rare, I have seen a poorly fitted/damaged hose leak from the factory. Sadly it doesn't seem to show itself until the unit is in the customer's hands... Thanks Brandon!!

Hi there. Shawn! I am having issues with my 2019 RT Limited suspension. Out of the blue I got a ‘suspension fault’ error about 2 months ago. The local dealership first out a new compressor on it, but that didn’t fix issue. Took it back in, kept it in shop a month with replacing two relays and another compressor. It did not fix issue. Is this issue you dealt with here what I’m dealing with? The bladder doesn’t fill with air and it is a very tight and stiff ride for myself and wife. Suggestions?? Please!!!

It good be an ACS Sensor Arm being disconnected, as was the case here. Maybe the sensor is faulty or needs correctly recalibrated through BUDS by the dealer..? Do you know what the fault code number was? If the ACS isn't functioning, you're definitely going to have an uncomfortable ride... Hope they can sort this out for you quickly. Thanks!! 👊

@@TheSmoaksVlogs thanks for the reply. They sent the mechanic to my house after I told them the issue wasn’t fixed (which is about an hour away from shop). He tore into the bike as if at shop, but couldn’t resolve it. The code is C210A. Power directly from battery to compressor doesn’t activate compressor. Clueless in TX

Let's see if I got this right. You brought the bike into the dealer for it's 1st service and everything was ok. When you picked it up after they did the service the suspension was all of a sudden not working correctly and the trunk was now unsecure. Is that right? Or was the suspension not working properly when you brought it in and was the trunk not latched properly when you brought it in?

The issues were there when the customer purchased the bike from another dealer up north. Being new to Spyders, she didn't know there were any issues... That's why test rides are a mandatory part of our services, as only a test ride showed these issues. I will try to lift each 'Link' rear trunk equipped Spyder to make sure they're secured, otherwise they "look" correctly fastened... Thanks Bill!!

They never seem to make anything easy do they. Some of the most simplest things become projects. Maybe that's why I loved The fifties And the sixties , Can't forget the seventies. That's when things were simple . Once We hit The electronics age it totally was a game changer. We advance really fast. Faster than a lot of us could keep up buy a brand new computer to day tomorrow It's obsolete. Do you remember at the grocery store they went from the old registry to the new computer type No training learn as you work problem was that in 1967 was the Detroit Riots real bad timing. That i will never forget

10w50 in the slim instead of 20w50?

Yep, been running this in all my personal bikes for about 13 years, after KTM Orange Level training back in 2007... The lower grade 10w, 20w etc, switches to the heaver weight almost right away. The lower weight grade is for safe cold start conditions where non-roller, no contact plain bearings are used in modern engines... Thanks Bobby!!

@@TheSmoaksVlogs never knew that existed to be honest. But makes sense on cold starts. Will definitely have to look into it. Been running mobil 1 synthetic 20w50 so hopefully there's a good synthetic 10w50.

84 ? Jeez, here in southern Ontario, we have been lucky to get as high as 50. Two days ago we had some snow, and are supposed to get a tiny bit more in a couple of days. Send some of your global warming over to us please.
