I was in China recently, trust me Chinese electric cars are so much better made and better designed than European brands....certainly much better looking than BMW's recent efforts.

I totally agree with you very much - their even numbered "cars" all look "odd" - and this iX2 just joined that group. Looks hideous IMO. I just love the X1 - Used to own the X3 G01 and I think the current latest X1 is really good.

Another amazing review. I'm seriously considering getting one. Please help me Joe,what is the range difference by selecting the 20inch wheels over the 19inch. I can't find any info anywhere and the dealership is telling me there is no difference, but you said there is a slight difference. How much range will the 20s cost me, please? As there is one in stock for a great deal but comes with the 20inch wheels.

Thoughts on value for money and comparison with the i4 edrive35?

Can I ask why with the 20 inch wheels you loose range? And what’s the difference when you put 20 inch in thermal cars? Thanks

Think the X235i should do well , good size for UK roads

Arguably the previous model X2 M35i being smaller was more suited to the UK roads but that was never a best seller. No this won't sell as many as they'd like.

Regarding the disc vs drum brakes, i understand it feels like cost cutting to use drums. However the rear brakes only do 25% of the work on normal cars and are even less utilised on EVs. As such i don't think discs are are a big deal.

Prefer the look of the outgoing model. Agree that BMW ‘s look ever more like Hyundai’s/Toyota’s etc.

Was really hoping the new X2 was going to be a better sportier X1 which I really like but on first glance really disappointed, and why is it like all cars far bigger than the previous model which was ideal. Just like the Audi concepts for the Q3 which looked amazing especially in sports back the actual car is nothing like it just like the concepts of the X2 which looked incredible. Why doesn’t any brand make a medium small sporty SUV that isn’t 4.7 metres long and weighs close to 2 tonne. My latest M240I weighs almost 200 kg more than the previous M235I -mainly due to being Xdrive but even so

Looks like a 5 series GT on raised suspension, clearly had a load of unsold shells to recycle as nobody bought them first time round 😂

It looks like an American SUV in miniature.

Fire red metallic or “wine” as my mother would call it.

It’s a big NO from me for this model. 267 mile range is terrible and that is WLTP which normally an EV makes 70% of that on a motorway at 70mph, which equates to under 190 miles. Last year I bought the new model BMW 230e active tourer which is xdrive, more powerful at 326bhp, lighter and quicker (GPS timed 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds), has 40-50 miles of range on a charge for daily commuting and a range of over 400 miles and only takes 5 mins to fill up with petrol. PHEV is the way to go until EV’s have a proper 400 mile motorway range and the infrastructure to charge is as good and as quick as a petrol refill. Oh, just to add I have been on the UK configurator and to spec the iX2 to the same as my 230e costs over £60k and a 230e is under £50k new!

The designs of SUVs are terrible. They all look the same but I have to say BMs attempts lately have been pretty naff and the iX2 typifies everything that is bad. Why cant they be as brave as some of the Koreans?? Tjey need a new design look. 😮

the BMW have lose their traditional style!!! ye u so right the old x2 looks 10 milions much better , this new BMW's of 2024 looks like Corvette(Chevrolet) 🤮🤮 the front lights the back lights with this triangles exactly like corvette 🤮 get the 5 Series or M5 from 2024 to 2008 in retro, much older much Modern and beautiful it looks !!!!!!!! !!!!! !!!!!!!
