I cried when the Nico Robin Leader got announced.

So the cost -10 for another turn for the gear 5 sec Luffy is negated. -10 for Luffy then get back 2 with leader ability, 1 is active. Use sec Luffy ability to go to 3 don, Then have the 2nd turn. Start that turn with 5 don, play black Maria, you're back to 10 don for the next turn.

It's not really "negated" because yes, you'll be at 10 Don!! The next turn, BUT after playing Black Maria, they'll all be rested except for 2 Don!!... TWO... So really it won't be until 2 turns after playing 10c Gear 5 Luffy that you'll have a full 10 Don!! to work with. Sure you get to take your second turn right away, but you don't really get anything except maybe a 7k leader swing. So that's still more than a big enough price to pay IMHO..

@@kamikaze.33 it's cos I'm classing the 2 turns as 1 long really turn. So by the time it's their turn you've played a 10 cost but are back to 10 don, so the -10 isn't a big deal. You're right that it's not active, but it's not in the negative. Hear me out, if you think of it as 1 longer turn it's like having a 10cost rush character that can give your leader 2 don and you draw a card.

Firstly, I'm ECSTATIC to finally have a Nico Robin leader!!! Now, that said, I feel VERY confident when I say, she is NOT better than Pudding. At least, without seeing any new support for either of them yet, as the card pool is currently, I'd say they're about equally as good but in different ways. They're different enough to both be viable options IMO but will have pretty different play styles so I don't see one negating the existence of the other.

You cannot first turn ramp going second therefore, no Black Maria first turn going second

Well also, with Black Maria, you have to put Don back and if you go second, you'll naturally have more Don than you, so at the end of turn you'd end up actually going BACKWARDS in Don...

Looks like I'm building two more decks in December 🤯 Gear 5 Luffy and Blackbeard lol.

That hasn't been the case. Each set has been getting FLOODED with supply, and Bandai hasn't shown any sign of showing down..
