A little note on the translation at 15:54, As Chinese characters are like individual "tiles", verses actually can be written from left to right, right to left, or vertically from top to bottom. Ancient Chinese are written (and read) from right to left, modern Chinese from L to R (I think due to "modernization" to align with the West), so it can be confusing at times. Google Translate will translate from L to R: "teach ancient and true things", which still makes good sense here. However this plaque obviously was made before modern China, it should read 清真古教, literally "pure and true ancient religion", with the combination "清真" being used to mean "halal" . Thanks, Bilal, for your intersting and real vlogs. I've watched your China series from the beginning, it's really enjoyable although I don't understand Urdu. It stands out among other foreign vloggers to china because you plan well and you walk the extra mile. ❤ One question i would like to ask travellers to China is, from what you saw, how oppressed are the Chinese people by their government? I have very keenly watched almost all your episodes regarding China . I keep on watching travel vlogs and reading about China as I studied Chinese language in Beijing in 1977-78 . Subsequently I kept on visiting that great country for more than 16/17 times till 1997 and have been all along observing the changes and development over there .But the development during last 15/16 years is simply marvelous and amazing and your have very nicely covered various aspects of the same . for any future muslim visitors to china, halal in chinese is 清真 so just look for that somewhere on the shop name :) but I think if you are in a purely muslim area, it's likely the shops there are all halal. if done by a proper restaurant, ducks are drained of blood for better taste and the blood is actually used in other recipes.
