Don't worry my brother. South African rugby was in the same state, but things sorted it self out for us. The same will happen to Australian rugby.

Rowan Govender only thing is that rugby was still a popular sport in SA during that period. Debatable whether the same can be said about AUS now.

1998 - 2001 when Wallabies were number 1 now 2020 they are number 6

The Wallabies from the 90s to the Early Millennium were 'Undoubtedly' the best team in the World!

And for the next 4 years Australia reigned dominance winning the bledisloe cup 5 years in a row (1998 - 2002) winning the tri nations in 2000 and 2001 and they would go on to make the 2003 RWC final, after beating NZ, narrowly losing to England (Who, by the way, were in my opinion the greatest RWC team of all time)

2003 the year they lost both the World Cup and the Bledisloe haven’t won those back ever since

Back when Australian rugby was at its greatest but now it’s dead not sure how they will go in this years World Cup

Yeah man. I am not from any of those countries but a fellow southern hemisphere traveller. We need the Wallabies to return to their old ways to recreate the Big 3.

I really thought France were going to win the 2023 World Cup on home soil. The way Sir Clive Woodward was talking about France a year ago.

Who could have thought then 24 years later they'd be out in the pools...

for me Toutai Kefu was similar to Willie O , the workhorses [with great speed and strength and amazing cardio with that special ingredient that lights the fire in the other forwards if not the whole team under the great understated skipper . [you've got to be good to win 2 world cups and heaps of other cups]

God I love this.

Only twenty years old and the video quality is so poor. There was something really wrong with the video quality from that whole tournament. It's like it wasn't restored well, or even produced well in the first place. Even 1991 video is better.

Il n'y a pas de quoi en rire. Je crois vraiment en ces petits jeunes qui font vivre l'équipe et qui lui redonnent la force de produire du jeu correct. Et sinon ce sera pour 2023 ;)

@@emile8178 Moi je crois en ces jeunes, et pourtant je suis persuadé qu'on ne passera même pas les poules. En fait, j'ai toujours cru qu'en France on avait des joueurs de talent, comme partout ailleurs, et parfois même plus que d'autres nations qui se débrouillent mieux que nous en ce moment. Par contre, je ne crois absolument pas en ce staff actuel qui semble complètement perdu. Les meilleurs joueurs du monde mal coaché, ça ne peut pas aller bien loin.

France could have scored 2 tries in that match.If they win this RWC 2023 they will certainly deserve it.

This is the same French team that beat NZ? What happened? It's like a completely different team and they played mediocre. Australia actually played pretty decent and well I haven't seen George Gregan in years but he's always been a good player.

Way to go castle. Now you have five players leaving the code, Australia and we have no team left. Resign!

I thank Australia for beating France. Because of what France and Paddy O’Brien did to Fiji.
