The Matches in the Showboat Invitational had incredible finishes.

Parker has been on Brunswick staff since the 80s; he never would have been throwing Hammer stuff back then.

In 1999 it's $24,000 to the winner and now in 2024 it's $25,000 to the winner in a regular event. lol.

For what it’s worth, a few years ago it was only $10,000 for some events. Also, the Showboat was a big event back then. Most standard events were paying around $16,000 at the time.

The Showboat Invitational used to have a field of 360 players and $33,000 to the winner. Sad to see a field of 117 and $24,000 to the winner in ‘99. Bowling has been in trouble ever since. In fact, prize funds started to go down in 1990.
