Even tho Cadillac won the best sedan awards that year 2000 with the sts , lexus was way more reliable with the v8 motor and transmission are bullet proof

that is actually a set of 8 butterfly valves opening inside the intake manifold, which shortens the intake path to optimize power at high rpms. normally they're shut which sends the air around the outer edge of the manifold, whihc optimizes torque at low rpms. toyota calls it ACIS (accoustic control induction system)

Im so mad that the euro spec ls400 just straight up didnt get the dotmatrix screen in the bottom of the dashboard, its such a classic feature of the ls400...

They did get. My Dad’s 98 LS400 Germany Europe Spec has it.

that light just means cruise is ready to be set, doesn't affect anything

Beurky24 the 1998+ LS has ACIS which is Toyotas variable length intake manifold, at like 4900 rpm a set of 8 valves open up which directs the air into a shorter path for high rpm power. normally they're shut, directing air around a longer path which is better for low rpm torque. normally you can't hear the switch but when you do what I did to the intake (see my other vid) you can hear it
