God bless you and God bless anyone reading this! Hope you have an awesome day! Seek him while you can! Jesus is the way and the only way and he is returning soon! Whenever you think you aren't loved... Remember the ultimate sacrifice was for love! ENDING YOUR LIFE IS NEVER THE ANSWER! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV The wages of sin is death (hell) but Jesus paid our debt on the cross, for our salvation! We must turn to God and away from our sinful ways, Confess Jesus is Lord and believe with our hearts that he was risen from the dead by God, and we must be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit and live by His word and Commandments! Trust that God will help with the rest! Seek God today before it's too late! Today could be your last day on earth! Have a blessed day! -❤️❤️❤️

As an Eagles fan, looking back, of course I would've love to have drafted Moss, but that Tra Thomas pick was so underated. The Eagles at the time had an awful, aging offensive line. Only talent they had was Jermaine Mayberry. Drafting Tra this year, signing Runyan the next off-season in free agency, with already having Mayberry....it paid off for the Early 2000s Andy Reid teams.

Maybe his best ever.. I remember thinking Woodson should have went #1 , he was that spectacular on Saturdays.. I would love to see the 1980's NFL Drafts. Like the classic 1985 draft where the 49ers drafted Jerry Rice. Ryan Leaf had everything except...maturity as Theisman and others brought up. Leaf admitted he should have went back for his senior season at college to gain more there. I do feel for Beathard here. He made a ton of good draft picks with his style in draft in 1980s building Washington. Its just it fizzled and failed in 1990's. (His style was to trade a future 1st rd pick ahead to get an extra 2nd rd pick each season. In Beathard's view he was gaining 2 top caliber players each year doing this)

9:06 was the biggest bust (at least quarterback bust) before Leaf. Art Schlichter in fact was very like Leaf in lacking off-field maturity. The probable reasons why Schlichter is often omitted from lists of worst draft busts are that he was only a #4, that he did not have quite Leafʼs reputation in college, and that he had significant success in the Arena Football League before being arrested again in the early 1990s. Nevertheless, his NFL record was worse than Ryan Leaf or JaMarcus Russell or especially Tim Couch or David Carr.

I don't know if this Peyton Manning guy is going to make it...

  • @Paul-cj1wb

Never for one moment did I think Polian was not going to go with Manning. Leaf was only a one year wonder. For those of you too young, if you want to know what I mean, I'll give you a recent example: Zach Wilson was also a one year wonder. Except that in his case, it wasn't even during a regular year. He did his playing against teams missing many key players due to Covid opt outs. Yet, Robert Saleh was completely fooled by it all. And the GM gave in to what his new coach wanted to help him succeed, and make the decision to hire him look good. The same thing happened in '98. And Randy Moss? I could not believe he lasted that long. I was flabbergasted. He was better than any receiver BY FAR. It wasn't even close. "A man against boys" absolutely described his superiority. His off the field issues were not that bad at all. Just minor juvenile issues. Everyone around around him said he was a good kid. And now just look at all the busts drafted ahead of him.

Holding out after being drafted turned out to be a really, really bad idea for most players. Both Wadsworth and Enis did it and they quickly bombed out of the league. I know they both hurt their knees, but I figure skipping their first training camps didn't help with that. One good thing about today's football: slotted salaries for the draft.

@@BrandonTharphorrortownusa In 1983, the Baltimore Colts drafted John Elway - whom they knew would rather play baseball than play for the team - because they believed that there were no potential franchise quarterbacks in the 1984 draft. (This begs the question of why the Colts did not draft Jim Kelly or Dan Marino given what they knew about Elway and the 1984 QB class). If the Chargers had known about Leafʼs immaturity, they could certainly have waited a year for Donovan McNabb, who must have been reasonably well-known in 1998. As it was, Leafʼs immaturity made Eli Manning refuse to play for the Chargers, and the trade they made in 2001 suggests to me that Michael Vick would also have refused to play for the Chargers had they drafted him (correct me or confirm).

Ron Wolf was awesome. Vonnie Holliday was ok, but we moved up 10 places to get him, and did we pay dearly for it over the next decade with Moss causing a ton of problems. Wolf’s biggest mistake.

Watching this, hearing Ditka say what he did always makes me spit my drink with laughter. You hate character issues yet the next draft you gave up an entire draft plus, two picks the following year for a player who ended up being a terrible pick, alot due to his inability to stay away from things he should have. Hpw ruck and ironic.
