Thanks for the video! I have a '97 that needs the ac core replaced. Will do the heater core at the same time. Really wish you were closer. I would happily pay you to do it! (Mine is even the same color!) Cheers from Washington state.

Wow awesome work man, great video. i went to a couple shops and was gonna charge me from 700-1000 for this job, the part was around 60 bucks. On a day off, couple beers, and a good music playlist and i think i can do it lol. thanks man!

Great video where u get the foam from that u put around the vent. Already what type of insulation u put on the heater core and heater lines

@SzymczykProductions I sure did it and completed it. I replaced both the heater core and the ac one. Be careful taking the hvac housing apart, the blend doors are delicate. There is a 32 steps to removing zj dash write up. Google it.... just use zip lock bags and label them. Goodluck

Yes I think so the evaporator is in the same housing

question on vacuum lines - The hard plastic line going through the cowl that controls the vent matrix. Mine is broke and fell back inside the dash area. Since you were in there, do I have to do this job just to get to that vacuum line to replace it or is there a way to get to it or bypass the area right behind the dash (drill a new hole and come through somewhere else?) thanks

Unfortunately I don’t think you can get to it. I would try just removing the top dash first and looking down in you might get lucky

Any type of adhesive foam tape will usually work normally you can get it at a local hardware store like Lowe’s should be located close to the windows and doors they call it weather stripping I think. You can also get some from Amazon here is a link to some KAPOOSY Adhesive Foam Tape Single Sided, 1/2 Inch W X 1/4 Inch T Weather Stripping Door Seal, Window Door Draught Excluder Air Conditioner Gasket Foam Tape, Total Length 26 Feet (13ft x 2 Rolls) a.co/d/9HUjpsd

I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L. I flushed my heater core & have had it bypassed since getting it from an auction. I just want to test if it's working due to the flush. Does anyone know standing in front looking at the engine which hose in the firewall on the heater core is the inlet & the outlet & which hoses from the thermostat goes into it. I see diagrams showing the heater core brass pipes top & bottom and not right and left next to each other. Thanks in advance.

I call them disconnect tools for AC lines you can get them at harbor freight or Amazon 👍

I'll put a inverter in and plug a 110 heater up before that mess 😂
