This was the Cardinals only year with a winning record, as well as only playoff season, in their tenure at Sun Devil Stadium.

Tom Dillon was THE legend in AZ sports broadcasting for Arizona State and the Cardinals. Great voice, great calls, but most importantly, he was a great guy. He passed in December of ‘08. I really wish he could’ve lived to see Kurt and Larry have that playoff run and Michael Bidwill take over for his father and finally turn that organization around. RIP

How exactly did Chris Jacke end up with the Cardinals? I remember that Joe Nedney had been their kicker at the start of the year and he had decided one of their Cardiac Cards games with a winning kick against Washington in November

LOL did you know San Diego actually traded Metcalf for the draft spot that eventually went to...RYAN LEAF. If Leaf played in this game Arizona would've shut down SD by halftime. Bad enough that Leaf's backup Whelihan threw like 4 or 5 INTs in this game...Leaf would've had numbers like 10 for 29 and 8 INTs

Chargers also had lousy receivers

Just a question. I heard in the video that the Arizona would have to overcome the chargers "league leading defense". Did the chargers really have a league leading defense that year? I am asking because they went 5-11 in 1998 if I am not mistaken. I know it seems like a dumb question, but I just find it interesting that NFL films said that and had to ask.

David Orellana yes, they had a historically terrible offense, but a great defense, led by junior seau

Trading away Metcalf for Leaf... not a good trade, as it turned out. No wonder Leaf went down in NFL history as a draft bust. I understand his post-NFL life also went bust after bust...
