1997 Jaguar XK8 Coupe
Спорт
Walk around of my latest edition. Very nice Jaguar XK8 in Black on Black. 135,000 km. Beautiful condition. I will be doing more videos of my cars in the future let me know if you like me to do this? I have some modifications I can share as I do them. Like to give John a big shout out for his channel "To The Garage" for all his XK8 videos, been very helpful to me.

I really enjoy driving this beauty. Try to do another video of ownership soon.
Very nice😎😎😎😎
I just picked up my XK8 coupe in Winnipeg and drove it back to Ontario: I got 32mpg for 2000 kms @ 100-110kms/hr...INCREDIBLE. Moreover, the bilstein shocks and K&N springs are absolutely fantastic...beautiful ride....

Every time I go for a ride it never fails to impress me how smooth the ride is. very comfortable. Fuel consumption is very good for a performance car.
It’s beautiful

Thank you she is a beauty. More video to come in the Spring
Lovely car. I have a ruby red one. It makes me smile every time I drive it. It never disappoints. You’ve got a nice one there.

Hi rob am picking up my ruby red xk8 on Monday any advice. Its 1998 fsh 64000 miles one owner. Thanks
Brilliant Car Geoff. Love the blacked out Marker lights. Cant decide whether to replace mine with clear/white ones. Hard to tell from the video, but I think your colour is 'Ultimate Black' and you have 'Impeller' wheels which would have been an expensive cost option when new. Hope you can do us another video with the Mina induction pipe installed. Thank you so much for the Shout out. It really caught me by suprise.😁👍👍 Look after her mate, looks like you have found a keeper👍

Great looking car! You can tell how excited you are to own one of these fabulous motors. Welcome to our great club! John At to The Garage has fast become an incredible source of quality XK8/R information, for all owners, new or old. Great shout out. Enjoy your time with this gorgeous car!
Quite right Geoff, she’s a beauty. Never heard of the air filter mods. Looking forward to seeing that. Good luck. Cheers, Tim
I'm in Ontario and just bought a 1999 XK8 with performance exhaust, Bilsteins and H&R springs plus a TON more....
That's a great car Geoff! Hope you have lots of fun driving about in it!
Stunning! Just got one of the same vintage myself recently.

Thank you they are a stunning looking car.
Hi Geoff, Lovely car. Like you, I subscribe to John's " to the garage".....all the way from Scotland ! You sound delighted with the Jag. Hope you enjoy it to the full.
Nice! The side markers look great with the tint, something I’ve been thinking about too! Lovely car 😎👍

I do not like the side markers and the tint just hides them away now. Check out my other video on the performance intake.
That's great news!
Nice to see black body with black interior. I have a silver 2004 XKR myself - photo on John's channel in his community section. I have wrapped a couple of items too...lol you'll see when you have a look. I will sub to see your future mods. I have replaced my huge centre muffler for an X-pipe, more v8 burble but not overkill in sound. Mine has 145k on the clock. Sadly thinking of selling...umming and arring though LOL. Cheers from New Zealand. 😉
Beautiful car, great shape for a 97.I too have a 97 convertible in Ontario .As a word of caution have the cam chain tensioners been replaced recently ,you may want to have them checked!

Thank you. Engine was replaced by jaguar at 70.000 km.
Lovely is least to say.
What a beauty! Look after her. I suggest you don't mod her too much, as we have a saying in the UK, "don't gild the Lily".

The only mod I may do is the exhaust but can wait. She is a beauty as she is. Coming soon driving impressions as soon as winter goes away.
Love the car Brian from red deer That’s way I got a few of them👍
I prefer lighter colors outside and inside the car. It brings a happier environment even if you see more dirt. ☺
A stunning example. How many miles? Someone really took care of it.

it has 135,000km 84,000 miles. Looks like it was never driven in the winter or rain here. Very pleased with this find.

@@gsminors Indeed. Rust free and low miles. Make sure you get my XK8 Bible. Some of it applies to the earlier cars like yours. drive.google.com/file/d/1u9PUp1K_9svxlSGfWI7DhKI4-uvbw3X2/view

Its not a real mini though..
Wish I had one, but after my experience with a V12 XJSC I'm scared by the astronomical garage bills and maintenance cost. Any advice regards this model? Thanks.

Hi. If they are regularly serviced and have a service history they are a good vehicle. I do all my own work on my cars and for other cars as well. Their is lots of knowledge out there for owners of this iconic car. I would love to own a XJS V12.

@@gsminors thank you Geoff, much appreciated. As for the V12, it's a smooth machine with endless torque, but as they say if you drop a penny on it, it won't get touch the ground 😅
Nice car . At last a Canadian that can speak English .

Haha I am British or more precise Cornish lived in Canada for 22 years. Hanging on to my accent :)
Wow...still has the shock mounts plastic cap. that is usually missing.
Wrong wheels for a 97 I think....better wheels but I think from later model.
Geoff: Richard in Ontario here: how are the outer plastic seat hinge covers on your car??? I have them in composites....
i believe the color is called ebony?
Geoff, Wash the car before the walk around: for heavens sake its all filthy
Geoff, why are all the inside shots BLURRY?????
@gsminors

It was new camera and shooting inside hit the minimum focus distance. Sorry about that.
Pretty much all of my "car guy" friends are warning me off of buying one of these. I DO realise the parts aren't cheap, and that they're notoriously susceptible to rust, particularly here in the UK. I notice prices are absolutely all over the place - like literally going from 3-12k here in the U.K. I've just lost my beloved black 93 Pontiac Firebird to rust after having owned it for the past 5 years as my daily driver and am still in mourning. I mean, if you really stay on top of shit, i.e. - getting them regularly undersprayed and serviced(?) Are they really that bad?

Thanks for watching. I am from the uk and understand how harsh the winter roads are. Mine is like new underneath but it never gets driven in the winter. Stay away from one's that need fixing up. Get the best you can find. Facebook has a good xk8 group.

How come all your interior pics are blurry and out of focus...amateur really
