My neighbor has a pretty clean white one. There’s also a really nice bright blue one with its original body-color wheels kicking around, I think it’s owned by a snowbird. I live in Yuma, Arizona, a border town that’s very popular with retirees from colder states and Canada (snowbirds) as a seasonal home. All of those old Suzuki SUVs (the Vitara, the Grand Vitara, Samurai, etc.) and their Geo counterparts are popular with them. I’ve even seen an Asuna Sunrunner. Their light weight makes them excellent RV dinghies (most snowbirds live in RVs, so they need a vehicle that they can tow), and their light weight and four-wheel-drive make them great for climbing the dunes too. Kei trucks are less common, but are also used on the dunes for the same reason.

Yeah my first Manual car was a White 92 Accord LX, it wasn't fast, it was slow, but it never broke down on me. This was way back in 2009, I've had many other Manual Honda's. Unfortunately I'm not into Honda's anymore, now I only drive Toyota's & Lexuses more Reliability, better Quality, and less boring.

It's all about Nissan's and Infiniti's. I've owned only one Acura which was a 03 TL. It was pretty fun and it had the semi auto transmission. I have an 04 G35X with semi auto transmission too. It would dust that TL any day of the week. I'm not really into Honda's, I was just watching some videos to see what all the hype is all about in regards to a 60k Integra type R. No way they are worth that much.

  • @9ZERO6

I owned a 97 GSR, a friend of mine had a 97 Type R. They were two different animals. Not really even a comparision. The Type R was more than the sum of its parts. A truly amazing piece of LSD equipped, super ridged, nimble handling, excellent brake having, machinery. I tried in vein to replicate the performance of the Type R with a manners of bolt on parts from Neuspeed/HKS/Greddy etc. and ever came close. The R was an engineering masterpiece in its day.

My step father owned this car my entire childhood, and I leaned manual on this car! (Really proud of this fact now!!) I loved the feeling this car gave you. It’s was like driving a formula one car on the road. It was a visceral driving experience that you could feel through the controls. He described it best “the engine deserves to be heard” there are no other words to describe this car. It’s was exactly like playing a musical instrument while driving, your inputs developed a sound and depending on what you do, you can make music. If you want an idea as to how this car feels, just look up senna driving an old fashion manual POV. Not joking at all, this car wanted to be revved to the moon and allowed you to shift and dump the clutch as quickly as you could. It felt like a ninja 600 with the safety of 4 wheels. As a child I was really amused by it and everyday after school I’d go get the keys and rev it in the garage where it resided LOL so dumb thinking of it now.. but man what a noise it made 😣 once I got older I started taking it out without them knowing and without a license lol again really stupid, but looking back now it would be worth any punishment by law or my parents haha. I was a young kid and didn’t know much. And my step dad actually hated the car!! And wanted it gone for some reason 😑 one day someone tried to steal it but lucky it had a cut off switch and they couldn’t get it running. The police came and told us they wouldn’t have gone far this is the only white 1998 type r In New Jersey!! he ended up selling it for like 8k. So stupid but it was a while ago. Once I got of age to buy a car myself I tried looking for one and it was like they didn’t exist. I was destroyed. The car was gone and it looked like I would never drive one again... my type r instrumental days where finished 😢 I tried everything to replace not the noise or the performance, but the experience. I immediately got into bikes and loved it but wreck a few times being a teen male lol. I thought to myself “man if only I could have this feeling but on 4 wheels” ... the type r I’ve driven many sport cars since then to maybe supplement my childhood obsession. And I currently own a 370z manual. But I can tell you, that from all the cars and motorcycles I’ve had, nothing compares to the feeling of a 90’s type r. And I know why the prices are what they are. Because people like me would spend anything to get that feeling back or to maybe experience that feeling for the first time. Now I don’t much but if I did, I know the first thing I’d get...

I had one of these. Ukdm dc2r When I bought it second hand on the way home I discovered it would rev to 9500rpm for some reason presumably it had a ECU rev limiter increase . It was a surprise. I utilised the 9500rpm limit for more 50,000miles and sold the car. Don't be afraid of revving these cars out. Engine was awesome. So was the handling. The steering was a little soggy off on and just off centre and was very reliant on having decent tires with stiff sidewalls. Also the synchromesh can get tired . The Rust was annoying I remember having the bonnet rust removed and repainted. Within just a few weeks it was bubbling again. Damn. Also this would have been even more killer if it had 6soeed box. Ratios could have been even closer together and touring would have been nicer. Seats were great gripping and comfortable and the boot large. Driving other cars after it gave the impression that they were broken and lumpy. The dc2 r was just the right weight to be properly agile and focusesd. Its a great car that can basically do everything. Not sure it's worth big, big money though tbh.

Like so many of Mr. Regulars reviews this is just an outstanding review of not only a car, but of a place. In doing such a great job he and the Roman elicit thousands of responses from us in the cheap seats and the responses in turn take on a interesting and diverse life of their own. In the last half hour I have noticed something interesting in the response section that I haven't before. Making the assumption that the largest demographic on this site are Millenials I noticed for the first time today a large number of "I remember my........" Or "I sold my _______ and I still miss it.." comments. To me this is a what I would consider a telltale sign of generational shift. The Millenials listened to Boomers talk about the 55 Chevy they had in high school or the 69 SS Camaro they bought when they got home from Vietnam. They also listened to us Gen-X talk about the 64 chevys or 73 Chryslers we drove in high school etc. Tempus Fugit and the time for Millenials to hear their own version of "Ok Boomer" from Gen-Z is nigh. Just a observation, maybe I'm full of shit.

@@12ealDealOfficial The average male life expectancy is 76 years. When you turn 38 you life is officially 50% over. When I was 35 I realized I woudn't see my grand kids graduate college. I can do math, and 35+35+22 is 92. My best case is 85. My wife may live to see it. Then you start to think about whether or not your dad will see your kids graduate college. Then you start to count how many years they have left in general. One day in or around 40 you will be sitting in your luxury car starring into your HUD after a long day of familial neglect and start to think about your life. Then you will drain the kids college fund and buy that integra for whatever they are asking for it. So yes in less than 10 years the fact that you will die will become more of a concrete part of your life, coupled with the realization that you will "never be an astronaut when you grow up."

I bought my gsr in December of 2020 for $4900. Iowa car, no rust, 163k miles. Super clean, no interior sun bleaching, and mostly stock. Now that corona is “going away”, I’ve had offers for $7500 cash. The only bad thing about it is a shoddy jdm bumper conversion, but I plan on going back to the classic integra bumper and headlights. I love it. The howling engine as your secondary’s open is a feeling that you can only experience while riding in one of these. Videos don’t do it justice. The gsr and type r were true race cars, and I don’t think I’ll ever sell mine.
