Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This video provides general guidance for removing the Accord dashboard instrument cluster on 1997-2002 Honda Accord model years. Printable instructions available at bit.ly/2C3kK6s
There may be some variances between years or modifications by previous owners - so we recommend removing the part at home before coming to the yard to determine the tools you'll need for a successful pull.

Eric The Car Guy Awesome, but will the cars actual mileage be automatically adjusted after install of the instrument cluster?

*WARNING!* Two screws above the radio on my '97 Accord! I just about broke my bezel because those two screws were missed in this video!!! Had to do more searching!

Another thing Honda made easier after 4th Generation Accords. On those, the trim piece goes way across and extends down to the ashtray. And to get to the screws to get it loose, you also have to remove the whole console between the seats. With all of that removed, the instrument cluster there, but it is jammed in there with very little wiggle room, and hardly any room to get a finger on the plugs to release them, so tools must be used, with the risk of breaking a plug or pulling a wire out of its seat. The older Hondas are easy to work on, mechanically, but not their interior.

The radio bezel center piece is a separate plastic trim piece, that's not part of the instrument cluster trim piece. I know, because I install an Aftermarket single din CD player back in 2016 on my 97 Accord EX. I didn't have to remove those screws. Just make sure you don't lose the screws and do everything backwards, when putting it back together.

I had to do the same exact thing to my 96 Accord EX. Idk about these other people, but my car had 2 screws above the radio that had to be removed in order to take out the black bezel that overlays the gauge cluster.

This must be a 97 in the video. 97 was the tail end of one generation and 98 was the start of the next. This is completely different on a 98-02.

Yeah it's a great straight forward video for the 5th gen guys, us 6th gen guys are SOL and have to just figure it out. :)

@@ButterfatFarmsI watched this video for the 99 my wife owned at the time and for what its worth I'm pretty sure it was even easier and a smaller bezel to remove if I remember correctly. She has a 95 now which this video would actually come in handy for but I dont have to pull the cluster for any reason (yet anyway lol).

@@darkjdub13 yeah I'm just parting out my last 6th gen for spare parts for the current one. Already dropped the column and pulled it out, that wasn't too hard to figure out. The instrument cluster I took the top two screws out of the bezel and it's not immediately clear to me what's holding it in on the bottom. Column is already out of the way, left pod with the AC vent and switches and little drawer removed, the center radio-clock-ac cluster is out. Need to get back to it today and see if I can't figure out what's holding the bezel in place on the bottom! I was hoping to find a video that just shows me exactly which screws and clips I'm looking for. :)

That looks nothing like a 6th Gen Honda Accord.
