So the JA22 Jimny had numerous special editions which each was aimed at a particular potential customer. From what I recall from a very detailed article that unfortunately no longer exists, the Wild Wind was aimed at younger market and I think was primarily aesthetic options to help it stand out, such as exclusive colors and optional graphics on the side. The second was the Land Venture, which appealed more to the off-road crowd. I know that a digital altimeter was an option, and it bolted in on top of the dash. The last and rarest was the Fishing Master, which had a very obvious target audience. This one as options had a fishing rod holder mounted on the ceiling, water-proof seat covers, and bucket tray mats to prevent getting mud on the floor. I have a well-optioned Fishing Master edition in Canada, which has the rod holder along with aluminum rims, roof rack and spare wheel cover. Unfortunately, I don't have the covers or the tray mats.

Hey man. Watching from Ireland. Have to say I really appreciate you showing all the little imperfections honestly. I'm starting the seriously think of importing a JDM at some stage next year. But I may or may not be in Australia then. So maybe I'll get one shipped there instead. 🤔

Can you clarify what you said at the end please? Removing seats saving you money? I thought I herd you say 2 seats (cargo vehicles) = 25% tax, 4 seats = 2.5%

It’s the 2nd gen facelift version and they are only 4gen

Not quite accurate to call it a facelift, since each generation is composed of numerous sub-generations which all have their own aesthetic and mechanical changes. The JA12/22/JB32 is the most significant visual change for the 2nd Gen though.

I think that the ja12 and the ja22 are the same 660cc turbo k6a engine kei car but the jb32 is the 1.3L g13b engine normal size one and they’re the newer version of the ja11 jimny

But it’s still the 2nd gen version not the 3rd gen

@@thelegendreh1609 The JA12 is a more base version of the JA22, lacking its special editions and using the older F6A 657cc engine.

Cute :) kei cars are awesome. Shame that nowadays everyone needs to drive some stupidly and unnecessarily big, buffy 2 tones suvs
