1996 Nissan Pickup Fuel Pump Replacement

Back Yard Mechanic Work. Got estimates from $550 to $775 JUST for the fuel pump. I did it all for $150. Complete pump, high pressure fuel lines, gas filler hose, low pressure returns, emission lines and all new clamps. Priceless

Very nice video. You seem to be the only guy making a video on this, that cared enough to clean the area before removing the pump ( this why I continued watching). Who would believe someone who lets all that crap fall into the tank? I'm bookmarking this for future use as I just tested my system looking for a reason for a bad running truck (wasn't my problem either). Kudos, very informative and thank you.

I do not have a farm jack. I used 2 scissor lift jacks on 2 cinder blocks and some bricks that bring it up to the top of the rear tire. I laid a piece of 1x6 to extend onto the tire. This way the pressure exerted down is even. I did this on both sides and raised it up even. I used blocks between the bottom of bed and frame. This sounds complicated but not too much once you get started

Must do the same on a '97. Nice pictures of hose locations. Thanks for video and good job. But unless I missed something, seems like a good way to get decapitated. Would use a couple 2x4 or 4x4 to prop up bed for safety in case jack got bumped
