It's so funny, I can never get enough Nebraska football. The funny thing is I played for the University of Colorado 87-90 when we were beating Nebraska. By the way, Lincoln Nebraska is the best place any visiting team could ever play at. Their fans, at least their adult fans are the epitome of class. It was such an honor to visit Lincoln twice. Even though we won

2-1 in that stretch and 1-1 in Lincoln doesn't sound like what you typed, but regarding Nebraska's fan's, I remember this discussion on the Yahoo threads. It's easy to be classy when you are trouncing the opponent. This classiness changed after they started losing frequently in Lincoln.

Quite the Tale of Two Halves. How does Nebraska go into halftime "only" up 17-0 only to win 73-21? Oklahoma just rolled over and died in the second half. It was very telling when even the announcers were remarking on the air, "Nebraska has already pulled their reserves and are about to run out of bench players. You cannot tell your players not to play hard." Shows how lousy a coach John Blake was.

Would not be politically correct, now would it. My favorite PC hire was Tyrone Willingham who said he never had a bad day. From Wiki regarding his 2008 season. At 0-11, Washington was the only winless team in the FBS, and the owner of a 13-game losing streak stretching from the last season. Washington closed out the season with a loss at 1-10 Washington State in double-overtime, making it four of the last five, and with a season ending loss at California. Willingham finished the season with an 0-12 record, the Huskies' first winless season in 119 years. His .229 winning percentage is the worst in school history. Yeppers, defiant SOB never had a bad day.

Why Blake hired that offensive coordinator was his undoing from the start….The defense had great athletes and held teams down but the offense would constantly put the defense in terrible positions with interceptions, fumbles & constant miscues giving opponents short fields….So painful to watch during that stretch of years…..

ESPN is already predicting a 10-2 regular season finish for 2019. Ut oh. Pelini was 10-4 three times, and finished with 9 wins, 4 other times. 10-4 for Frost is not gonna be a good sign, I can just feel it. Remember the AD said, when he fired Pelini, "he didn't win the games that mattered". He was 4-7 at YSU in 2018 and Tressel gave him an extension. Interesting fact: 31 years between Solich/Pelini at NEB, Ohio, YSU and only 1 conference championship and that came with Osborne's recruits.

@@robjohnson8861 course helps to have the right AD to be supportive of a coach. Frost has that in Trev Alberts so there’s no need to worry there. Plus those AD’s that fired Solich and Pelini, tell me are they AD’s anymore? Are they? Oh wait no they aren’t because no one wanted to take over for Solich and or Pelini because of the fact they fired a 9 win coach. Reasons why Nebraska was stuck with losers in Callahan and Riley.

@@sorney98 you're an idiot. Frost is toast unless he beats OSU and Iowa. Trev has what he needs, the provision in contracts where a coaches actions damage the schools reputation or competitiveness, endangering players by off campus practicing, not to mention cheating and then there is advisors on the field. Hasn't someone around you thought, if NCAA has nothing, then why hasnt that report came out. On other hand, if bad NCAA would respect the season.

Weren't we something like 20-2 against top 25 teams, including 10-1 against top 10 teams during that stretch? Other teams may have done it, but I'll leave that up to you to do the research. I know, you're a troll. Just figured I'd give you a couple more responses to prove your stupidity. You absolutely love comparisons, so I would love to have you name 20 teams that were better than 1995 Nebraska (yes, you complain about them). If you can't do that, then stfu because there is no reason to take such a stance on a team that is even in your top 20.

When did football turn political? The late John Blake had certain restrictions around him as HC. His options were limited; folks didn’t realize that. Recall what Riley did recently when OU powers restricted his funding for more infrastructure entering the SEC. And remember, politics don’t get you into heaven.
