I have a 1998 Lumina with 32,100 miles on it. My 92 year old mother bought it new but stopped driving about 10 years ago. The car runs well but needs a paint job. Even though the car was under a carport for its whole life, it suffered from the bad GM paint of the era.

Did not own this body style, although I love the looks always did. I bought a 1991 Lumina new and drove it daily until I retired in 2012. What a great car. Loved how smooth everything worked in it Even the column shifter just glided into gear so nice. Doors just clicked shut so nice. Crank windows worked the same. So reliable started after sitting outside on those life-threatening nights. Awesome in the snow. never a minute's trouble with that 3.1- liter engine. When I sold it there was a hole about the size of a quarter in the driver's side rocker just in front of the rear tire. Miss it, was a great car.

Great video, my man!! I like your sense of humor. Reminds me of the guys I worked with in Detroit PD. I’m looking at a Lumina with 162k miles for $1,850. My wife had a ‘00 Lumina that I drove as a daily driver until the head gasket blew on it. I absolutely loved that car. It was simple and reliable transportation. 👊🏾

I brought a nice used 1996 Lumina 4D with 60K for my mom back in 2001. Twenty years later when she stopped driving it has 70K. Now it's mine to uncover and start up every 3 weeks. It always had a smooth engine, very smooth ride and the inside is like new 90's. I got rid of a passed down 1986 Chevy Caprice once, so maybe I'll hold onto the Lumina and get repainted.

this is my first car i have had for almost 2 years now, i adore this car. the seats are so comfy, and i think it’s so cute even with its cosmetic flaws. i found out my car only had 60,000 (i was told the odometer was broken and the mechanic said it wasn’t) and it is in great condition! same color and everything

Dude awesome car i own a 2001 the last of the second gen, bought it at 220,000 miles for about 3k from my older cousin and currently it almost has 234K. Only couple downsides is my gas guage is wonky so i fill it once a week no matter what, the engine ticks, goes 85mph in first gear and lastly the cruise control broke lol. I love this car im honestly thinking about getting a second one to like mod out and make freaking awesome.

Cars were alot simpler back then, the reason the windows and locks still work is because they are manual and less tech means simpler design.
