This is from an old tape I found in my grandparents house. They recorded the Steeler game and I found this

Because I prefer my sparkplugs to stay in the cylinder heads, and my timing chain assembly not to break apart, I'm still driving my 93'F150 302 v8 in 2022.

20% of the average salary could buy a new car in 1994 vs 75% of the average salary in 2022. Crazy.

I wish trucks were this simple again. Based on that sticker price, trucks have increased in price roughly 5% every year. $13,728 is about $53k 28 years later at a 5% yearly increase. Glad the average wage grows at that rate too. Financing terms are already hitting 72, 84, and 96 months. Pretty soon we will be mortgaging our house and lowering our rate by "bundling" in 1 or 2 vehicles on a 30 year.

wow that truck is "loaded." Am/fm, an airbag and steelies. But all jokes aside the pre 97 F series were solid trucks. My Dad bought a 91 XLT Lariat brand new with the 5.0 and it never gave us any problems in over 200k of ownership. Nothing but routine upkeep.

Have one, stock, drive it to work every day. If I could buy a crate 4.9l straight 6 it'd last another 30 years. Don't make 'em anymore. A shame.

@@gameplayer5148 Twin I beam: control arm and pivot bushings. They cause the dreaded Death Wobble that I could not figure out until an older mechanic knew right away. $800 well spent because it takes knowledge to remove the old ones. Fuel Pump: Injectors are right over exhaust header. Fuel pressure must be higher than otc fuel pump for that engine in hot summertime or you will be troubleshooting everything to find out why it stutters. I found a tech bulletin from Ford on this after exhaustive forum research. Good luck, hope you have good service. Keep sun off of dash ( parking )!
