He was the best there ever was. The government wanted him to keep competing but the human body can only take so much. So when he wanted to retire after his 3rd Olympics he should have. His body was broken down. He did more than enough for himself and his country. He is a legend. R.I.P.

Valerius naim süleymanoğlu nün mezarına gelmiş bir karakterde. Adam ülkesindeki baskıya rağmen muhteşem bir davranış örneği göstermiş. Bence bu adam biraz daha saygıyı hakediyor

Yani özetle, Naim'i yücelticez diye raikbini aşağılamanın bir anlamı yok. Bizim spor tarihimizde Naim çok istisna bir durum. Esas bizim sporcularımızın büyük çoğunluğu dalga geçilmeye müsait.

Awesome .. we will never see a competition like this ... Naim is a legend and still holds world records .. and the other competitors they are so good as well ... sadly we don't see this anymore

@mimicat11 just slightly, however very few lifters have done this (only marinovs 120 at 52kg seoul 1988 comes to mind) and the referees are usually under the lifter in front of the platform, going to be interesting when a lfter gets pulled for this action

Haw can someone compare Süleymanoğlu with Leo. Valerius ?? After lifting 146,5 with fully shaking feet look at his face ! Even he was sure that Naim would come and finish the story. History writes only the people at top..for dure someone will take the second place but..especially at Lifting Naim was by far Best of all Time. You can compare Maradona with Pele, Messi with Ronaldo, Mike Tyson with Evanger, Michael Jordan with Magic Johnson ect..but it is unacceptable to make such a comparison about Naim Süleymanoğlu with any human :)
