I have a 2000 gt that I am almost positive this is the issue, this was a huge help, it's been my project for 3 long years now. When I bought it, it had been sitting in a field for a year so it had a lot of issues and every time I fixed something, something else would malfunction. All new suspension, starter, battery twice, the entire ac system, brakes rotors and calipers, clutch and flywheel, tires twice. I still have a few things left but it drives like a new car now. All I have left is to fix the driver window and it needs a new top and seats. This was a labor of love. My favorite part is my 5 year old daughter loves daddy's new car and she loves driving with the top down, seeing her smiling face makes all the people who told me to sell it over the years not matter. I plan on keeping this car the rest of my life. Sorry for the life story I'm banned from Facebook at the moment and have no real friends

This is the exact thing going on with my 03 stang I seen that piece at the bottom of the window I was about to throw it away until I seen your video I'm going to try an put it back on an hopefully it work my window been up for almost a year now SMH.

@@denisemedrano2539 i think i have storage in my wires in the door because when i open my door an pull on the wire the window goes down but when i let go the wire the window stop.

Hi, I just got a 2017 Mustang convertible and I love it but one of the rear windows has a hard time going all the way up to meet the front window. It will go if I "nudge" the button back and forth but it seems it has a hard time getting there. I have looked around online and it seems to be a common issue with these cars but all they tell you to do is take it apart and reset it. I don't think it needs that much, I think the casing is just a bit too tight or something. I would like to try a lubricant and I was thinking of white grease but I wanted to know if this was okay to use in the window track. I don't want anything that will corrode or hurt the rubber or vinyl of the window casing where the window slides. Any help would be appreciated.

I am having the same problem, but for some reason the piece is not staying on. I removed the old glue prior to using the new glue (E6000), but it only holds for a week at most. What am I doing wrong?

Not sure. Mine is holding well But i am very careful to only put the window up when the door is closed, that way it doesnt stress it.

If I wind mine down, it stays down. I have to bash the motor with a hammer to get it back up. 31,000 mile car too. What's the cause and the best permanent fix?

Pretty sure its the wires where they cross thru the door hinge on my 04. If i wiggle them my passenger side starts working a little bit. The other day my window switches were turning my dome light on and off and making the door ajar dinger go off. And the dome light wont come on when I open the door likes its supposed to. Something is very wrong. I'm trying to find a whole new wiring harness for the door... hard to come by tho. $100 on ebay is a bit steep but I guess if I want to roll the window down again thats the price I pay. I may splice new wires in and just repin the connector but that will surely break again.

Mine doesn’t go up too far but still gets stuck periodically. It’s stuck now BTW.

Mine is stuck down 😑 it did that from time to time then it would go up. But now it’s completely stuck down. I can hear it click and I can feel the regulator wanting to move but it doesn’t. My driver side goes up and down like nothing.

Raul I fixed mine! I took the door panel off and with a screw driver I kept tapping on the regulator motor while holding the button up and it eventually worked!! Try it out

Nick Wagers yup same thing I did to fix it. I’m gonna take the motor out to see if it’s all broken inside. Also I don’t put the window all the way down either lol I’m scared it’ll get stuck

What if it won't come up st all but I can hear the motor and see the window come up it just stops at a certain point likes it blocked by something. Literally hurts my soul.

Need to take the panel off and see what's going on. Probably something loose that is blocking it
