He was great, better at this age than when he got older. He didn’t throw enough combinations to beat someone who could figure his style out. That was only Barrera and he was not fit for that fight. He reminds me lookin back of a featherweight Deontae Wilder.

Got overly confident as his career went on unfortunately. Then dropped Ingl and involved family in his career. The rest ? Is history

He was good when he first started out but got two cocky and went downhill,he didn't want the rematch with Barrera cause he'd of lost again but he had quality with a style of boxing u just don't see

@John Booth Exactly. Barrera humiliated Naseem in that fight. He knew that Barrera was thrashing him but had to show cockiness because he didn't want to admit to the crowd that he knew he was losing.

@@zx50 Hamed would have beaten Barrera I think. I followed Hamed closely back in the 90s and Hamed started to lose the plot himself. For some of the fights he would train for only about 2 weeks and still win. He became delusional and overconfident. Brendan Ingle even criticized him for this which partly led them to falling out.

@@justinlucas2945 Rumor has it Hamed actually retired from boxing so he could focus on cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and washing dishes for Barrera personally. It makes sense, because he became Barrera’s bitch for life after their fight.

@@PranksterKidsFamilyFun on the contrary. Barrera won because he learned the right lessons from defeat while Hamed learned the wrong lessons from winning. If they had met in 1996, Hamed would have won.
